‘29 (QB) Austin Jacobson - St. Xavier (Ky)

- Last weekend was a great start to camp season for this Kentucky based sophomore as Jacobson left the PRZTN Showcase as positional MVP for the quarterbacks. From start to finish, this Bluegrass State native had a consistent and steady day where he displayed good athleticism during testing, then threw the ball well throughout drill work and 1 on 1 competition. What stood out the most about Jacobson was his clean throwing motion along with his accuracy and footwork. He only stands about 6'1 but Jacobson has the frame to pack on more size and physically become more appealing down the road. Our Showcase became a stand out day for this sophomore signal caller where it definitely helped get himself on the map and force more eyes to look in his direction.

- Some in attendance had the opinion that Hobson might have been the MVP for his position but the consensus went with Jacobson, however this Knoxville based quarterback did more than well for himself by displaying some of the best passing of camp. The Rams senior signal caller was steady throughout the camp as did well during testing but really cranked things up when we went to drills and 1 on 1 work. Hobson displayed probably the best throwing mechanics of all quarterbacks at camp along with accuracy and ball placement. A couple of passes might have been missed but overall, Hobson looked like the most mature, college ready passer at camp that appears ready for a big senior year. A few offers have already come in but I expect Hobson to gain several more before he signs in December.

‘28 (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1589943' first='Quincy' last='Mitchell'] - Forrest

- Mitchell has been on a heater ever since the start of his sophomore season where he led the state in rushing. He has continued that momentum into the off-season where last weekend the Rockets rising junior was named MVP for his position and considered the overall best player for the PRZTN Spring Showcase. It all started during testing where Mitchell ran a solid 4.6 forty along with a pro shuttle of 4.37 and a broad jump of 9 feet 11 inches. Those are really good numbers for someone standing under 5'8 and weighing in at 174 pounds. Mitchell then proceeded to dominate drill work and 1 on 1 competition where he shredded opponents catching the ball out of the backfield. I don't know when the offers will arrive but they will in time because Mitchell is just that good and worthy of more looks.

- New to Oakland High School for his upcoming junior season, Vaughn used his home turf to put on a stellar performance at the PRZTN Spring Showcase last weekend where he especially did well during drill work and 1 on 1 competition. Looking at his testing numbers, Vaughn did well with his shuttle (4.38) and broad jump (9 feet, 3 inches) but he ran a 4.67 forty, which I know he can increase as he runs faster than that number shows. The Pats junior ball carrier picked things up when we got to drill work where his quick feet and elusive running style proved to be a problem for defenders. Vaughn is an elusive guy that makes people miss with ease and that's what we saw during camp last weekend. This guy recently landed offers from Liberty and Miami Ohio and you can see why after his performance at camp and on film.

(WR) [player_tooltip player_id='1629937' first='Kaden' last='Webber'] - GCA

- One of the more underrated prospects from our in-state senior class helped grow his stock further at last weekend's Spring Showcase with solid numbers during testing but even more so, a dominating performance throughout 1 on 1 competition. Webber came to camp with a purpose and I believe he delivered on it by showing out as the top wideout in attendance. The Rams senior produced a solid forty at 4.67 along with a nice broad jump of 9 feet and 5 inches. He also allowed his athleticism to shine during the rest of the camp where opposing defenders had a hard time keeping up with Webber due to his route running and speed. More work is needed but I can see the progression in Webber and the work he has done to improve and position himself better as an eventual college recruit.

- Out of all the prospects competing last weekend, maybe nobody helped themselves the most than Degraff. This Mid-Tennessee product is coming off a strong junior campaign but hasn't gained a lot of recruiting attention but that might change soon. Degraff did very well at camp where he ran a 4.58 forty then used that speed to separate himself from defenders during 1 on 1 competition. The Lions wideout showed good burst coming off the line, ran away from defensive backs then hauled in several receptions using his strong hands. It was an all-around good day from Degraff that displayed next level upside. If he can continue to build out his frame while enhancing his athleticism, this Williamson County native might see increased interest and offers flow his way.

(WR) [player_tooltip player_id='1705539' first='Brennen' last='Odle'] - Houston

- A versatile prospect that could develop at multiple positions, Odle had some of the best overall testing from anyone at camp last weekend along with solid work during drills and 1 on 1 competition. Coming up to compete from Memphis, Odle made great use of his time at camp where he ran 4.62 forty, a 4.41 shuttle and a broad jump of 8 feet and 10 inches for someone measured at 5'9 164 pounds. The Mustangs senior showed off his athletic skill set throughout the rest of the camp where Odle used his quickness and speed to create separation and present clean targets for his quarterback. This camp did help when it comes to my scouting on Odle but I still view him as an offensive weapon that could be utilized in a variety of ways. This was a great start to the summer camp setting for Odle and hopefully he builds on this to continue growing his stock further.

‘28 (WR) [player_tooltip player_id='2193045' first='Caleb' last='Graves'] - Mt. Juliet Chrst. Academy

- One of the biggest surprises coming out of camp last weekend was this junior Mid-Tennessee wideout that not only did well during 1 on 1 competition but especially during the testing portion of the Showcase. Graves tied for the 5th fastest time (4.66) along with good hand size (9.75), the 6th best broad jump (9 feet, 8 inches) and a strong pro shuttle of 4.41 that proved to be the 11th best overall of camp. All those athletic testing numbers showed up when Graves put them into action against defensive backs where he ran well and found himself getting open on a consistent basis. The Saints junior wideout does need to get bigger and stronger and gain more mass but the athletic skill set is definitely in place to gain more attention moving forward, especially after proving his worth at the PRZTN Spring Showcase.

(OL) [player_tooltip player_id='905242' first='Caleb' last='Coffman'] - Page

- When you come home as positional MVP, you have had a good day and that's what happened with Coffman after his stellar performance last weekend at the PRZTN Spring Showcase. The Patriots big man did fine throughout testing but it was his work during drills and 1 on 1 competition that earned him MVP honors. Coffman was strong and steady with his blocking where he moved his feet very well to mirror his opponent while being strong at the point of attack that stalled several defensive linemen. He also showed off versatility by taking snaps at center, guard and tackle. Coffman is a technique sound, high FBI player that does the small things right to succeed. The Pats big man is in search of those elusive offers but with continued performances like he had last weekend, Coffman is inching closer towards obtaining them.

(OL) [player_tooltip player_id='1629118' first='Josh' last='Frensley'] - Westview

- If it wasn't for Coffman earning top positional honors, it would have been this West Tennessee product that performed very well throughout the camp. Frensley is a true interior blocker that started his day doing solid during testing but really cranked things up with his 1 on 1 blocking where he nearly won every rep, using his strength and active feet to lead the way. The Chargers senior did a good job of holding his spot after initial contact then either driving his man away from the ball or backwards. Frensley isn't the biggest guy but he does well at anchoring and allowing his lower body strength to keep D-linemen in-check. This camp performance was a solid indication at what Frensley can do moving into college camp season and his chances at doing well of obtaining offers.
