Production shows up quickly with 2028 Quarterboys RB Quincy Mitchell Quincy Mitchell 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Forrest | 2028 TN , who comes off a massive sophomore season and carried that momentum into the weekend. Built with a compact, well-developed frame, Mitchell runs with a powerful lower half that translates to real burst and explosiveness in space. He was dangerous after the catch, making sharp cuts that left defenders frozen and struggling to recover. Mitchell also proved to be a capable pass catcher out of the backfield, giving his offense another reliable option when the ball came his way.

 If it wasn’t for the overwhelming season put up by Simpson, this Mid-Tennessee running back would be our player of the year. Mitchell had a dominating sophomore campaign where he produced 2,919 yards rushing on 296 carries with 36 touchdowns while averaging 9.8 yards per carry. Nobody the Rockets faced this year could stop or had answers for Mitchell. He ran around and through his opponents all year long using his balance, speed and vision to get the job done. The Rockets sophomore is a bit undersized with height but Mitchell plays much bigger while having the unique feel for running the ball that I believe works well on the next level. Mitchell will definitely be in the mix to compete for our 3A player of the year honors over the next two years, barring any injuries.
