He posted decent stats at Farragut High School the last few seasons, but was never able to put his talents on full display. Now that he’s at GCA (Knoxville), he has a bevy of talented pass catchers and an offensive line that could be one of the best in Division II-AA.

He has underrated arm talent, can push the ball down the field, is a smart football player, has one of the more accurate arms in the 2027 class and is relatively mobile. Hobson doesn’t have wheels like others in Tennessee, but he can create with the ball in his hands and even take off at times.

Moving to new pastures for his senior season, Hobson has a great shot at competing for Mr. Football due to his arm talent as well as the playmakers surrounding him. The Rams senior signal caller is one of the better pure pocket passers we have in the state that could be ready for his best season to date as long as he performs like we think he can and he stays healthy. What will help the cause is having talented skill players around him both in the backfield at running back and out wide at receiver. Hobson should have a solid O-line in front as well. There are a lot of pieces in place for this East Tennessee quarterback to have a banner year that helps his Rams team compete for titles but also puts himself in the mix to contend for the classification’s top individual award.

He has a solid, strong frame at the position and was able to hit some throws into tight windows over the middle of the field and downfield.

He can extend plays with his legs and work outside the pocket, but he does dip his head at times when avoiding a pass rusher.

Hobson is a solid quarterback who should be a high-impact player for GCA that could have a breakout senior season.
