Our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp was on Friday, as over 70 athletes from across the state (and a few from out of state) came to compete in front of college coaches. We're well into our extensive coverage of the event. We've already taken a bird's-eye view of the camp, and we're in the process of breaking down every player in attendance by position. Here, we're continuing our positional breakdowns by looking at an impressive offensive line group.

We had nine offensive linemen in attendance on Friday. Here are some scouting notes about each.

Small-School Guys

I'm always interested in what guys from smaller schools can do, especially on the offensive line. And interestingly, we had a higher proportion of guys at the 4A level or below in attendance on the offensive line than at any other position.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston has had a solid offensive line in recent seasons, and I got my first look at two rising juniors on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2192554' first='Noah' last='Ennis'] is a big, powerful guard with some two-way potential. He showed good technique as a run-blocker and the power to drive and displace defenders. He's refining his pass-blocking technique, but he had a couple of wins in one-on-ones and showed some promise.

His teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='2148600' first='Kyle' last='Connolly'], is still developing physically but has shown some technical promise. With a 75-inch wingspan, he plays bigger than his size, and he's put in the work in the weight room this offseason. I expect him to keep getting bigger before the season, and he should have decent size for a 2A center.

Ashe County's [player_tooltip player_id='1939214' first='Hunter' last='Wingler'] is a big-bodied center with a huge wingspan and excellent run-blocking prowess. He's versatile enough to play any interior spot, and he looked very comfortable with all the run-blocking techniques during the drill portion. He also had some clean wins in one-on-ones and showed that he can hold his own against both bigger and more athletic defensive linemen.

Finally, [player_tooltip player_id='1670896' first='Logan' last='Martin'] of North Stanly is a two-way lineman along with his brother. I have Logan ranked on the offensive line, and I feel good about that assessment after seeing him on Friday night. He has the frame to add more weight, but I loved his technical abilities, and he took coaching well. He's a vocal leader who can command an offensive line, and his play strength is much better than his size would suggest.

5A/6A Anchors

We had three guys in attendance who were All-Conference guys at the 5A or 6A levels. I had high hopes for each, and I still came away impressed.

The fun thing is that the three are in different classes and play different positions.

Starting older, 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='772855' first='Samarion' last='Dawkins'] is a bit undersized, but delivers a punch. In drills, he was clearly one of the top guys, looking comfortable while pushing the others. In one-on-ones, he had one of the better records of the offensive linemen, consistently winning, with a few dominant reps.

2028 tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1815332' first='Landon' last='Suttle'] showed the same power that he shows on film. Part of the reason I loved getting him in camp was that I got to watch multiple pass-blocking reps. That's a part of his game we don't get to see often, given the offense he plays in. He's a good lateral mover, able to down block and pull, and he excels at reaching to kick out edge rushers and blitzers before climbing to the next level.

Rising sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='865972' first='Jackson' last='Jenkins'] was as dominant as we've seen him. He put on a bunch of good weight since we last saw him, while maintaining his quickness and first step off the line. He's what I'd call an aggressive pass-blocker, a guy who seeks out contact rather than waiting passively. We had a Power Four grade on him pre-camp, and if anything, he only improved his stock last week.

7A Seniors

Finally, we had two rising seniors from the 7A class with the potential to play in college. [player_tooltip player_id='1607805' first='Gavin' last='Passino'] is a high-academic interior lineman with a huge wingspan and the potential to add a bit more weight, should he need to. He looked as consistent as we've ever seen him on Friday. He didn't have many highlight-reel blocks, but he also won most of his reps cleanly, showing his potential to play at the D2 or FCS level.

Weddington lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2192887' first='Anthony' last='Garcia'] is technically sound, and I like his profile, assuming he adds some weight between now and when he gets to the next level. He's aggressive and should have more opportunities as a senior on a great team to showcase his talent this season.
