Class AA is the most competitive and controversial Classification in NY football. With Public and Private Teams combining for one football championship, things can get crazy. Saratoga Springs won the Section and made the championship last year, boasting a number of talented players. In this article we will look at each team in Section II Class AA, and give a prediction for MVP for this upcoming season.

Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks

Starting off with an easy one, we have Saratoga Springs. The Blue Streaks went 11-3 in 2025, and ended the season with a trip to the Class AA Championship game where they fell short to CBA-Syracuse (Sec III). Coach Hayden returns most of his team including playmakers like [player_tooltip player_id='2150200' first='Tasiah' last='LaDore'], [player_tooltip player_id='1811588' first='Bobby' last='Morris'], [player_tooltip player_id='1952604' first='Gavin' last='LaFrance'], [player_tooltip player_id='1639429' first='Jaden' last='Lockrow'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2149515' first='Brady' last='Varian']. My MVP is [player_tooltip player_id='1545198' first='Cam' last='Toomey']. The #1 2028 prospect, had an impact on both sides of the ball in 2025, and was an elite EDGE rusher picking up over 15 Offers. The First team defensive player will be the best player in Sec II next season, and I see a deep playoff run once again for Coach Hayden and his Saratoga Springs Squad.

CBA-Albany Brothers

The Brothers of Albany led by Coach Burns fell just short of the AA playoffs with an upset loss to Saratoga Springs last season. Losing players like Archie Jones (QB) and Amare Coffill (ATH) will hurt the brothers, but with a new year and a great coach, they should find themselves right in the mix of the Sec II Championship and the AA playoffs yet again. Players like [player_tooltip player_id='1583490' first='Jack' last='Hulett'], [player_tooltip player_id='751267' first='JT' last='Vogel'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1512374' first='Jacob' last='Vogel'] are names to watch for the Brothers, but my MVP for the Brothers is [player_tooltip player_id='1648702' first='Thomas' last='Toher']. Toher was electric, and despite his season being cut short, he accumulated over 1100 yards, and 15 touchdowns. With a fresh season, and a good O-Line, I see him being the focal point of this offense, and leading the team as an MVP this season.

Shenendehowa Plainsmen

The Shenendehowa Plainsmen are next up, and they fell just short, losing to Saratoga Springs in a cold rainy Sectional Semi-Final Game. Coach Clawson returns a veteran roster, hungry to get revenge on some teams in Section II, and after an 8-2 season, they hope to finally get ivermectin the hump and win the Section and compete for Class AA. Jake Frusico, Gustavo De Olivera, and [player_tooltip player_id='1777690' first='Evan' last='Fargnoli'] are some talented players to watch on this Plainsmen roster. My MVP for the Capital Region Squad, would be QB [player_tooltip player_id='1649142' first='Jack' last='Clawson']. Not only was Clawson a smart and talented QB last season, but he was a vocal leader, who showcased his IQ throughout the season. Clawson had over 1000 AP yards last season, and made impacts with his legs and arm. His ability to utilize every aspect of his game and lead his team makes him my MVP for Shenendehowa.

Shaker Bison

The Bison are fresh off an underrated season, where after losing their QB before 2025, picked up a solid 6-4 record. Close losses to CBA-Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Guilderland kept the Bison out of the playoffs, but with a reloaded roster, the Bison are knocking on the door. Players like Austin Marohn, Avery Wells, Benji Makoyi, and Jamel Bellamy are names to watch for this Shaker squad. My MVP for the season is none other than the two way player and Lacrosse commit [player_tooltip player_id='743651' first='Ryan' last='Chudzinski']. The 6'4" 205-Pound Prospect can play on both sides of the ball, and makes his presence known mainly at TE, and LB. His versatility and ability to effect the game makes him my MVP for the Shaker Bison, who look to win Section II this season.
