Fort Gibson offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1530067' first='Cooper' last='Hackett'] is not only the top offensive lineman in the latest ranking update but he's the top overall prospect in the state's 2027 class. In the span of two years, Hackett has gone from a basketball player that could end up being a decent football prospect to a 5-star OL prospect that has landed in the top ten overall rankings for the entire country. Hackett's upside of the football field is what separates him from others in this truly elite 2027 class in Oklahoma. College coaches are betting that Hackett's combination of athleticism and overall measurables will make him the ultimate can't miss prospect and a guy that will be playing on Sunday in five years. Watching Hackett's rise over the last two years has been incredibly fun to watch. Hackett switched his commitment from Texas Tech to Oklahoma and has remained loyal to the Sooners.

Bixby offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='528027' first='Kaeden' last='Penny'] is right there with Hackett as one of the top OL prospects in the nation and not just in Oklahoma. Penny is right behind Hackett at #2 in our overall 2027 rankings. While Hackett might have the highest ceiling of anyone in this class, we think that Penny has the highest floor of anyone in the state's '27 class. We think that he's a no doubt prospect that's going to be a very impactful player at the next level and possibly beyond. Penny has been one of the state's elite prospects since the end of his freshman season. And this is something we've said before but anytime you're talking about an offensive or defensive lineman coming out of Bixby, we're going to buy stock immediately. They know how to produce dudes on the line of scrimmage. Penny is that next guy and we're fired up to see how his career plays out.

The light went on for Jenks offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='527903' first='Odaefe' last='Oruru'] late in his sophomore season. There were always signs that he could be the next elite offensive tackle to come out of the Jenks football program. Oruru has turned into an absolute monster and is the perfect example of just how talented and deep the state's 2027 class truly is. In most years in the last decade, Oruru would be a no doubt, top ten overall prospect. In this class, he's knocking on the door of the top ten and is #3 at his position. But throw on the tape and you see a player with top ten talent. He anchored one of the tackle spots for a very talented Jenks offensive line last season and paved the way for a 2,000+ yard rusher. Earlier this offseason, Oruru announced his commitment to Arkansas and we still think some of his best football continues to be ahead of him.

Similar to Bixby, Stillwater is another program where we'll buy stock on offensive linemen immediately. They are coached by a former NFL offensive lineman and just look at the track record at that position over the last decade. Their next prospect to watch is [player_tooltip player_id='1140727' first='Paxton' last='Pitchford'] and he can line up at center or either guard position. You throw on Pitchford's tape and you see him dominating at the right guard position. But we've watched Pitchford have that same dominant playing style and more importantly, technically sound playing style from other interior spots on the offensive line. Pitchford is a top 50 overall prospect and comes in at #5 along the offensive line on this update. We love his playing style because of how he punishes the guy in front of him. He's a 2027 prospect that we're fired up to see up close again when the pads come on this spring.

Mount St. Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='1680645' first='Malachi' last='Hardiman'] is one of the more puzzling prospects in the state's 2027 class to us. First off, just position-wise, he looks like a solid pick for either side of the line of scrimmage. In person and on film, we've seen Hardiman absolutely dominate on both sides of the line of scrimmage. It hasn't mattered if it was on offense or defense, he's performed incredibly well and he's done it against solid competition. Hardiman looks like a prospect who should end up at the next level and at a high spot. We're not quite sure what the hold up is from coaches to pull the trigger on a guy like Hardiman. He looks very similar to some of the other top guys at this position where the floor is so high that you're not going to miss if you take him. He's another guy that we'll be seeing in person this spring and looking forward to seeing the growth over the last eight months.
