2028 QB/RB Stock-Risers

We just dropped our updated 2028 rankings, and we're starting our stock-risers content by looking at the backfields. We added 75 new players, which makes it difficult for previously-ranked players to move up. But these five players did. After going <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/05/behind-the-scenes-of-the-2028-rankings-spring/">behind the scenes</a> of the 2028 class update, we're looking at five quarterbacks and running backs who moved up in the latest rankings update.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2028 QB/RB Stock-Risers</h2>    Stroud doesn't have the in-game experience of some of these other guys, but we like what we've seen from him so far. He's a bigger back with excellent initial burst and vision. If you need a guy to pick up four tough yards, you'll love Stroud, who has the ability to play linebacker, too.     Morrison didn't have a ton of volume last year, with just over 100 carries during Hough's state championship season. I'm not sure he was 100% healthy last year, but he looks bigger and faster this offseason. He's a threat to break off a long run at any point, but also has the patience and toughness to pick up four or five yards a pop between the tackles.     Shoemake just continues to get better after breaking out last year. He's big, smooth, and fast. I've had a few conversations with some coaches who know his work ethic and weight room prowess, and it was pretty much a unanimous opinion that he would continue to develop at an impressive rate. He has the size, speed, and vision to reach an elite level.     El-Amin has been on the radar since taking snaps in relief as a freshman, but I got my first in-person look at the rising junior this offseason. He was a top performer at our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/05/prz-exposure-camp-qb-analysis/">Prep Redzone Exposure Camp</a> earlier this month. I don't think I quite realized how athletic he is. He moved nearly as well as any quarterback in attendance. I think he could have a huge season in his first year as a full-time starter.     Lopez was one of the top sophomore quarterbacks in the state last year, throwing for nearly 2,500 yards. Since then, he's improved his release, footwork, and pocket movement, and looks poised for a huge year. Cannon had an influx of talent, which should make the offense as a whole more dangerous. Lopez is one of the younger guys with both huge potential and past production to back it up.    There's plenty to come from Matt Morrow, Joshua Graham, and me on the 2028 rankings over the next week.
