Over the weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='1570267' first='Amos' last='Collins Jr'] picked up his first Division I offer. Previously holding offers from Division 2 Sioux Falls and Black Hills State College, the Sioux City East junior received the offer from Drake.

A bully-ball runner, Collins uses his low center of gravity and powerful legs to bust through arm tackles, keeping his balance and chugging along to make the next would-be tackler miss. Quick in and out of cuts, affording him the opportunity to take a screen or a short run in the middle of the field for a 20+ yard score, Collins' burst makes him a slippery runner that makes the Black Raider offense even more difficult to slow down.

As a junior, he took 99 rushes for 506 yards and four touchdowns, along with 11 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown through the air.

A new name on the block after adding his first offer from Norhtern Iowa on Monday, 6-foot-5 and 220-pound tight end out of Cedar Falls, [player_tooltip player_id='2202851' first='Jude' last='Hazell'] is another name to keep tabs on for us this fall.

Not putting up much for stats during his junior campaign, Hazell served as more of a blocking tight end, getting out in front of running backs out of the backfield for Cedar Falls. Setting the edge and turning his primary assignment away from the ball, Hazell showed the ability to manhandle defenders and push them where he wanted them to go.

With a frame like Hazell has, it would be a surprise if the Tigers don't factor him more into the offense this coming season as a pass-catcher with what one can assume is a wide catch radius.

A big receiver at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, [player_tooltip player_id='1610013' first='Nathan' last='Mahr'] of Crestwood picked up his first-ever Division I offer from Drake at the beginning of April.

A safety-valve type of receiver that can go and get a ball if it's under or overthrown, Mahr tracks passes in the air very well. An X-receiver through-and-through, Mahr is the pass-catcher that can go up and get a pass in short yardage situations, but can also be found down the field on a deep shot, trusting he'll find a way to bring it in. Not gone to a ton on hitches, screens or slants in the middle of the field, he can take one for a big gain from time-to-time, but, if he's used more often in the short and intermediate passing game at the next level, coaches will want to work on his quickness and sharpening up his routes.

Either way, the frame and ball-tracking ability of a player like Mahr makes him worth bringing in and developing his already well-tailored skillset. As a junior, he caught 23 passes for 379 yards and four scores.

One of the hottest commodities on the recruiting trail the last few months, EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='2086368' first='Ryan' last='Paulsen'] has most recently added offers from Iowa State and Nebraska.

At 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Paulsen's frame is immediatley eye-catching. With overwhelming size from the outside for Central Dewitt, Paulsen possesses nasty swim and rip-through moves that are backed by his length and raw power. Throw in a high-motor and a mean-streak that propels him after ball-carriers in the backfield, and Paulsen is physical specimen that looks like a freak compared to the competition in eastern Iowa. As a junior, he put together 39.5 tackles, 17 tackles-for-loss and five sacks for the Sabers last season, with the potential to top those numbers as a senior this fall.

Paulsen also holds offers from Illinois, Minnesota, West Virginia, Missouri, Kansas and others.

A prospect who has held an offer from Northern Iowa for about six weekes now, [player_tooltip player_id='1693007' first='Bennett' last='Stecker'] of Spirit Lake has made a major ascension in his recruitment over the last few months. Largely Group of 5 and FCS offers for the majority of the spring, Stecker received his first Power 4 offer from Wake Forest at the end of March. In addition to his familial connections at Iowa and Iowa State (older twin brothers Ethan and Dylan), it's easy to see why his recruitment has gained so much momentum when taking a gander at his junior film.

A big and tall pass-catcher that could play either tight end or wide receiver in college, Steckers 6-foot-5 and 200-pound frame provides a wide catch radius to go along with some of the best ball-skills in the state. He possesses strong hands and solid base for blocking of a tight end, plus the ability to take a screen pass and make a play in the open field like a speedy receiver. Stecker has potential to gain speed and sharpen route-running as a receiver, plus the possibility of filling out his frame and becoming a stronger run-blocker at tight end.

He caught 19 passes for 224 yards and two scores last season.
