Williamsburg had five different players throw a pass last season. Brown's 114 passes were the most. The sophomore completed 47.0 percent of them for a team-high 778 yards and seven touchdowns against four interceptions. Brown rushed for 105 yards and a score, and contributed 11.5 tackles, 10 of which were solo stops. He also intercepted a pass and returned four punts. A 10th-grade highlight video reveals a signal caller comfortable moving around in the pocket and delivering the ball from different arm angles. Brown surveys the field well, working through his progressions in a timely manner. It's a strong arm capable of pushing the ball down the field or fitting it through tight windows. Athleticism and speed keep open the door for Brown to develop at another position, but it's worth keeping him behind center with time on his side.

Van Meter reached the Class 2A state championship game last season with Tinkey flashing promise as a sophomore linebacker. He finished the campaign with 22.0 tackles, 11 of which were of the solo variety. A pair of tackles for loss also showed up on the ledger. Tinkey illustrates how he gets the job done between the lines during his 10th-grade highlight video. He's your prototypical, high-motor middle linebacker that gets downhill in a hurry. Tinkey is keen during pre-snap reads and diagnoses the action quickly once the ball is in play. He runs well in a straight line and looks smooth laterally. Tinkey operates with optimal leverage, staying low, breaking down the ball carrier and delivering a technically-sound tackles. With graduation losses, he could see his reps tick up significantly, and Tinkey appears ready for the call.

James proved disruptive on the defensive front as a Cherokee sophomore in 2025. He finished the campaign with 18.5 tackles, 10 of which were of the solo variety, and accumulated 7.5 tackles for loss and a trio of sacks. James also flashes potential as an offensive lineman, earning all-district honors there last fall. He has a chance to develop into a next-level player on both sides of the ball, as we can witness on his 10th-grade highlight video. James looks well-rounded playing right offensive tackle. He gets off of the snap quickly and locks up the opponent with violent hands and excellent balance. The feet are quick and smooth, which helps lead to success in pass protection. James shows power in run blocking with a projectable frame capable of adding more without the loss of present agility and athleticism. James is a high-ceiling prospect and one to watch moving forward.

Moore stepped into the starting kicker role at Alburnett as a sophomore in 2025. He kicked off 51 times, knocked through 31 of 35 point-after attempts and did not try a field goal. We don't have a lot of on-line video evidence to go on when it comes to Moore, but his Hudl page does house clips of him in action last season. He achieves good distance and loft on his kickoffs when booting the ball deep. Moore also has a knack for directional kickoffs that help the coverage team pin in the returner. When watching him strike extra points, there's a smooth operation, a technically-sound form and a lot of leg at the end of the swing. With two seasons of prep ball remaining, Moore has laid the foundation for what could be a breakout during the upcoming campaign.

Bucknell made a ton of noise as a Waukon sophomore in 2025. The linebacker registered 33.5 tackles, 20 of which were solo stops. He posted 8.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. Bucknell also was credited with recovering a fumble. While he does not yet have a 10th-grade highlight video, there are clips from individual games located on his Hudl page. It also contains testing numbers, including a reported 4.71-second, 40-yard dash, and 11.73 in the 100 meters. Bucknell has his bench press at 265 pounds, the squat at 375 and the deadlift at 405. The film reveals a high-motor player on the second level of the defense. He gets himself downhill quickly and heading in the right direction thanks to reading and recognizing what the opponent is attempting to pull off. Bucknell is fast moving in a straight line and can cover the field from sideline to sideline.
