A versatile back-end defender, Henderson is wildly athletic, and when he hits ball carriers, they feel it. The three-year starter has 16 career takeaways, making him one of the most productive defenders in the entire state.     Bowman is the perfect example of why you can't pay too much attention to interceptions (or a lack thereof). An impressive athlete, Bowman had 11 pass breakups but no picks as a freshman. As a sophomore, he picked off six passes to be among the state leaders in the category, and his speed and ball skills allowed him to contribute at receiver, too.     Geer might be under the radar to some, but ever since we first heard of him in last year's deep dive piece, we've been more and more impressed with the rising junior. He has fantastic length, hips, and feet, and teams often avoid him, rather than tested his ball skills. Still, he had seven pass breakups and a pick when targeted in 2025.     Wilson is as comfortable in zone coverage as any corner in the state, with great feel for where to be and what offenses are trying to do. He's quick to break on the football when it's in the air, and he's a sure tackler on the back end.     One of the better slot corners in the state, Whimper moves well in limited space and matches quicker receivers well. He's able to make consistent plays on the ball, and even though his raw stats dipped in 2025, he makes so few mistakes that opponents often don't look his way.     Hargraves was off to a hot start in 2025 before missing the last 10 games of the season. But in 2024, he was fantastic, picking off three passes in his first year as a starter.
