The 2027 class is fairly deep across the board, and TE is no different. He's got good speed with the ball in his hands and accelerates fairly quickly. He can get around the corner and hit the jets. He's physical in both blocking and when he's about to make contact with the ball in his hands. He can lower his shoulder and run through DBs in the 2nd and 3rd levels. He's off the line quickly and, with his long leg,s eats up cushions right away. He runs hard, plays hard, and checks quite a few boxes. I like the urgency he plays with. He's recently caught the eyes of Miami (OH), who gave him his first offer.

Martin is a fantastic athlete who moves and bends well. He's fast off the line with very little wasted movement. He can help chip on the edge and then get out on a route down the field. He's a good outlet who can pick up yards after the catch. He's quicker than LBs anticipate and can burn them when they take poor angles. He can help stretch the field and give the offense a big target down the field. He had an incredibly impressive TD catch in the corner of the endzone last season, which points to what he can do in the redzone. It was a high-point contested grab where he made it look easy while being held on the way up. The raw talent is there, and I wouldn't be shocked if Martin flies up boards nationally.

Welch is a talented TE hidden in a small school who checks all the boxes you're looking for. He's got the length and frame for Saturdays. He's a good athlete and can bend fairly well. He can high-point the ball and then go over the middle. He's got a good vertical and gives the offense an advantage down in the red area. He's good after the catch and has an extra gear. He's also a highly productive defense recruit who makes plays all over the field. He's got good vision and instincts on the field. If he went to a bigger school, he'd likely be highly sought after, and as of today, he will be an absolute steal for whoever takes a shot on him.

Price put together a good year for New Haven and is heading into year 4 with the anticipation of taking on a larger role. He thrives in the middle of the field and up the seams. He's not afraid to take a pop over the middle and will brace for contact. He can break tackles once he has the ball and is a physical runner. He's got natural hands and makes the contested grabs look easy. He's a bit raw in the blocking game, but he strikes me as more of the type of TE you flex out wide to create matchup advantages.

Beasley is a fairly traditional end-of-line tight end who can do quite a few things well on the field. He can block and help the running game. He's got strong hands and can create movement on his blocks. He's then a possession-type TE who will help convert 3rd downs and give his QB a reliable target down the field. He's fairly disciplined and is a team-oriented player in the way he has no issue blocking, moving around, playing H-back, and then getting downfield for a route. I like the consistency he offers, and he feels like a guy who can develop and help an offense long-term.

Deising is a versatile TE who moves all over the field for Carmel. They'll use him to block in the running game, send him in motion and get him the ball full speed, and then they'll send him downfield on a route. When he has the ball and gets full speed, he's hard to slow down. He's thick and uses his frame the way you would want. He's physical and isn't afraid of contact. He'll lower his shoulder and run through a DB. He's got experience on the end of the line and can get off the ball fairly quickly. He's a good piece for the Carmel offense and should be a vital part of the offense this fall.

Chipman is a fairly good athlete with some untapped potential. He's a bit light right now, but he has the frame to grow into a Saturday body. He's got good speed and takes long strides, which chew up yards in a hurry. He's got a good top-end speed where he can run away from DBs. He's able to make some hard cuts in routes to create some separation. He strikes me as someone who can develop the route tree and be a receiving TE that defenses have to account for. I like what he brings to the passing game and feel like he's just scratching the surface of his potential.

Keller is a physical TE who is an advantage in the running game. He's got strong hands and a strong core, which help him at the line. He can clear lanes and help create holes for the back to run through. He's got good vision and can get downhill in a hurry. He's able to get down the field in routes and can catch, but hasn't been given many opportunities to do so. He's got good length and has the reach to make first contact, which is key in run blocking. He brings an edge that can help the offense get rolling if they start to stall.

Stallings is an underrated TE who has the frame and length to play on Saturdays. He looks good on the field and is a solid blocker. He's got plenty of experience in the backfield and on the end of the line in the running game. He can help in the receiving game and create matchup issues on the outside. He's got long arms and provides a really big target in the redzone. He's got a decent vertical as well. I've seen him work in person at a PRZ camp and came away impressed. He's a bit raw, but the talent and the frame are rare, so if he can continue to develop, he'll be a steal for wherever he ends up.

The 2027 class is fairly deep across the board, and TE is no different. Today, we're taking a deeper look at a group of talented TEs who could fly up boards this fall.
