Peterson is an incredibly talented TE who has the frame and athletiscm to be successful on the field for years to come. He’s got good speed with the ball in his hands and accelerates fairly quickly. He can get around the corner and hit the jets. He’s physical in both blocking and when he’s about to make contact with the ball in his hands. He can lower his shoulder and run through DBs in the 2nd and 3rd levels. He’s off the line quickly and, with his long leg,s eats up cushions right away. He runs hard, plays hard, and checks quite a few boxes. I like the urgency he plays with. He’s recently caught the eyes of Miami (OH), who gave him his first offer.

Peterson is a true end-of-line TE who is beginning to turn the corner and look the part. He’s filled out his frame and looks good. He’s strong, has strong hands, and can have success on the line blocking in the running game. He’s nimble enough to come off the line and get downfield in the receiving game. He gives his QB a big target in the redzone and can go up and bring down the contested catches. His 14 grabs for 172 yards and 1 TD in the TE slot aren’t the biggest numbers, but it’s about his potential and how he looks doing it, which seems to be right in line with what you want from the position.
