Younger prospects are the name of the game, and over the next few months we will be spotlighting Class of 2029 recruits in Indiana who will blossom and, potentially, make a huge impact as rising sophomores as the fall season rolls around. The Hoosier State has had back-to-back strong recruiting classes in 2027 and 2028, and the next generation will have big shoes to fill. Here are four 2029s currently on our watch list.

[player_tooltip player_id='1672756' first='Ty' last='Griffey'] flashes being one of the better passers in the Class of 2029. Griffey has a quick release and flashes a rocket arm, hitting receivers in stride with good timing and touch on the deep ball. Griffey is highly-recommended by HSE head coach Mike Kelly when we visited the school this winter. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound gunslinger has good size and a frame to get bigger and stronger over the next three seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1672762' first='Emmett' last='Knowles'] is a talented passer who flashes a strong arm. Mobile and tough, Knowles can elude rushers with his feet, buy time and throw on the move. He has a quick release, hits receivers in stride in the short game, and flashes good rhythm and timing over the middle of the field. Knowles is also a dual-threat runner who can be a threat to go the distance with the ball in his hands.

DeVaughn Walker is a starting receiver/defensive back for Jefferosnville High School. He caught our attention at the Prep Redzone 7v7 held in Kentucky this spring for his speed, highlight-reel catches and soft hands. Walker can high-point the ball, leap in traffic and come down in-possession. He is a strong route runner who can create separation on his own and make plays after the catch. An important name to keep an eye on in the years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='2061191' first='Knox' last='Simmons'] flashes potential as a quarterback for Evansville Mater Dei. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound quarterback has a strong arm and quick release. Simmons flashes good touch on the deep ball and good accuracy, hitting receivers in stride over the middle of the field. High academic prospect who finished 65/93 for 1,134 yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions last season with 21 carries and 241 yards on the ground on his freshman team; had 932 yards passing on the JV squad.
