flashes being one of the better passers in the Class of 2029. Griffey has a quick release and flashes a rocket arm, hitting receivers in stride with good timing and touch on the deep ball. Griffey is highly-recommended by HSE head coach Mike Kelly when we visited the school this winter. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound gunslinger has good size and a frame to get bigger and stronger over the next three seasons.

Griffey is a talented and athletic player, has a good arm, a good feel for the position, and is just getting started. He was the 2029 MVP for the camp, and I like where he’s at. He doesn’t have the biggest arm, but it’s more than capable, and he doesn’t have an awkward release. Hand size isn’t an issue, and he can throw on the run. I like the fact that he can stretch a defense with his legs when he needs to, and it’s a natural part of his game.
