There are countless talented wide receivers throughout Georgia High School football that will not be mentioned below. This article aims to identify which schools had the most effective receiving unit as a whole, rather than individuals or a duo. The criteria for this list are three or more returning receivers who made significant contributions to their teams' pass game in 2025. (Stats were pulled from MaxPreps)

This is a unique group of wideouts; three of them surpassed 700 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns in 2025 (and in just 11 games), and all four are in the same graduating class. The unit helped account for 5 games of 225+ passing yards from junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1544906' first='Joshua' last='Scott'], including a game with 486 yards passing in the first round of the GHSA playoffs. Each of the four can do it all, but each has a skill at which they excel. Robinson and Marion stretch the field vertically and can make absurd adjustments to win contested catches, while Kinchen and Freeman are playmakers in space that defenses have to corral to tackle. It will be exciting to see how this unit and its quarterback can elevate and outperform what they did in 2025.

The state runner-up receivers from Savannah lead this list in combined receptions and receiving yards over the course of 14 games, including seven games of 215+ yards passing from 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='901654' first='James' last='Mobley IV']. Owens and Knight are true deep threats who can win one-on-one vertically. Owens demonstrates a great understanding of attacking the secondary's leverage and then immediately restacking on top of them (a skill that is not often seen in high school). Knight is a threat downfield because of his length and athletic ability, he made countless catches by outjumping the DB and attacking the ball at its highest point. Hicks and Pinckney accounted for a lot of yards after the catch in 2025. Calvary Day got Hicks the ball in space often as a physical runner who can also make defenders miss, to the point that he would even carry the ball on outside zone runs from running back. Pinckney excels at using his big frame on inward breaking routes, once the ball is in his hands, his long stride will get him past defenders fast. This receiving corps will make noise dropping from 3A to 2A in 2026.

Heard County High School - Tripp Curbow ('27), [player_tooltip player_id='2100175' first='Darience' last='Coleman'] ('27), Zay Moreland ('27), and [player_tooltip player_id='1568668' first='Brody' last='Buc Cofield'] ('27)

Total Receptions: 125 / Total Receiving Yards: 2,164 / Total Receiving TDs: 24

What's impressive about this group is that these players are capable of this offensive production while simultaneously playing a full role on defense (being that Heard County is a single-A school). This receiving corps out of Franklin, GA, includes three wideouts and a running back. Moreland and Buc Cofield led the unit with 745+ yards apiece. Both are explosive and can stretch the defense vertically. They are fundamentally sound route runners with great releases at the line of scrimmage and can manipulate defenders with their eyes and hips on double moves. Coleman proved to be an effective weapon in the pass game out of the backfield, with four receiving TDs coming from the screen game and wheel routes. Curbow proved to be a productive complement to this unit, as he made the downfield catches but was also a reliable target in underneath and second-level windows.

Westlake High School - Jah'Nai Weaver ('27), [player_tooltip player_id='661861' first='Roscoe' last='Hayes'] ('27), and [player_tooltip player_id='1853775' first='Elias' last='Gandy'] ('27)

Total Receptions: 108 / Total Receiving Yards: 1,605 / Total Receiving TDs: 12

This is a diverse group out of Fulton County, with each wideout having a unique skill. Hayes led the unit in receptions and receiving touchdowns, at 6'6 he is an easy target for quarterbacks to find downfield. Likewise, his size gives him an advantage in any match up the secondary. Gandy displays speed that can outrun defenses, whether he flat-out runs by the DB on a post route or leaves defenders behind in crossing routes. Weaver is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands as he routinely makes defenders miss tackles in open space. His ability came into play in the return game as well as the run game, as he was utilized in the backfield for perimeter runs as well. This group will be exciting to see with quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='410856' first='Cannon' last='Robinson'] entering his junior season in 2026.
