TN Vultures 7v7 Practice: Top Standouts

There was an abundance of talented prospects at Smyrna High School on Wednesday evening as the Tennessee Vultures held their weekly 7v7 football practice. After catching all of the action, here's my list of the top standouts.    In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1592156' first='Kesean' last='Petway'], a wide receiver at Smyrna High School. Petway was an explosive receiving weapon during Wednesday's practice, capturing a number of talented passes. Petway really impressed during scrimmage action, juking out the defense to get open for the pass. The playmaker out of the Smyrna area is worth watching more closely during tournament season.     I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='2092034' first='Rhys' last='Barnett'], a quarterback/athlete at Franklin High School. Barnett made a considerable difference at the helm of the offense with his ability to quickly scan the backfield and complete the challenging deep pass. I also liked this signal caller's arm strength and accuracy. The rising sophomore is worth watching closely as he continues to develop.     Another player to catch my attention was [player_tooltip player_id='1585056' first='David' last='Liambu'], a linebacker at La Vergne High School. Liambu made his presence known on the defensive side of the ball with his strength and aggression. Liambu did a great job of reading the offense and shutting down receivers in the backfield. Another facet of Liambu's game that impressed was his strength and aggression.     Making his presence known from start to finish was [player_tooltip player_id='1307094' first='Trent' last='Perkins'], a wide receiver at Smyrna Middle School. Perkins had reps on both sides of the ball, impressing me both offensively and defensively. I really liked how Perkins could read the offense like a book and use his arms to contest the pass. Offensively, Perkins showed off his great speed and ability to get in perfect position to haul in the deep pass.     Also establishing himself was [player_tooltip player_id='2126231' first='Cornelius' last='Wade'], a wide receiver out of Murfreesboro. Wade is a talented offensive playmaker that's just starting to take off. Wade has outstanding size and really proved his athleticism during Wednesday's practice. Wade really hit his stride in positional training, elevating off the ground to haul in the pass.     I also really liked what I saw from [player_tooltip player_id='2118525' first='Nakavi' last='Gundy'], an athlete at Rockvale Middle School. Gundy made a huge difference in positional training with his size, speed and ability to be versatile in the backfield. Gundy also impressed with his route-running ability and consistency in hauling in the deep pass. A rising talent out of the Murfreesboro area to get familiar with in the near future.     Also worth mentioning is LJ Williams, a wide receiver for the Tennessee Vultures that made a big difference with his electric speed and strong catching ability. I really liked how Williams executed during warm-up drills, showcasing strong footwork as well as electric speed off the snap. Williams was also impossible to ignore down the stretch, proving his ability to read the pass and use bursts of speed to get in prime position for the catch.
