North Dakota 27′ Rankings: Nate’s Key Newcomers

We ran thru our key newcomers in South Dakota earlier today and now we move the needle over to North Dakota and tell you about their key newcomers. When I say "key" I mean these are prospects that we have on our radar to possibly move up our board, hidden gems to know, and more.    Coming in as our EDGE3 in thie 2027 class and already in my eyes is seen as a climber, is Bismarck Legacy's [player_tooltip player_id='1853895' first='Landon' last='Glovich']. The 6'2 212 pounder, checks the box quickly with his explosiveness you see with his first step as it doesn't take long to see that this young man has a eye-catching motor you will want in your DE room. Landon has a more springy athletic profile than I feel he gets credit for coming off the edge yet mixes in the strength to be a pass-rusher that has plenty of moves at his disposal. Has upside to grow getting off blocks slightly quicker as a run-stopper, but surely one that will jump up in this class.       Will might not have his tape up yet from the 2025 season, but if you were a spectator like me during the 11AA state championship game, you learned quickly what a weapon this kid was in the Devils Lake receiving core, that won their first ever state title in 2025. What he showed off was a plethora of balance across his skillsets. He showed off excellent hands against Minot North and caught nearly anything and everything that came his way. He was also very productive as a pass-catcher thru contact and great mental toughness as he was one of the most clutch athletes I watched at the state championships last November. Will's one of those prospects, if you know you know and might be worth the live eval up to Devils Lake this fall to learn more and hopefully we get to see him at camps this summer.     EEK has had no shortage of talented cornerbacks in recent years, and we add another one to our rankings in [player_tooltip player_id='2102673' first='Brogan' last='Young']. The 6'1 175 pounder is one that impresses me with his ball skills right away when you watch his junior tape, as you can gauge that he has a growing football IQ as a zone corner that can provide relief in the slot on deep routes. Another area that I like from Brogan on tape, is his length as you can tell he used that to his advantage on a consistent basis last season especially around the edges of the field. I really like this young man's footwork as he transitions well on the fly on splits. He's a right place, right time type of cornerback that logged six interceptions as a junior and one that I surely feel could be a jumper in this 2027 class.   <a href="https://x.com/youngbrogan1">TWITTER</a>     Our new WR1 in the 2027 class has himself a monster winter on the recruiting trail and can also be considered a monster at the wide receiver position, as we talk about 6'6 200 pounder [player_tooltip player_id='1738787' first='Brett' last='Livingston'] of West Fargo Horace. He took over the top spot from teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1604859' first='Aiden' last='Green'], as Brett has picked up a handful of FBS offers this winter from the Mountain West's newest member NDSU and Western Michigan as of late. The tape shows how productive Brett is in the middle of his route of bursting thru tight coverage with his great hands and outstanding length he has at his disposal. He's one of the best receivers in the Dakotas thru contact and how routine he makes it look on film also will catch a D1 recruiters attention. I feel Brett has a great chance to get into our top 5 by next update and surely feel the P4 schools will come calling very soon.     One of the more sizable frames you will see at linebacker in this 2027 class is our LB6 in the class as we meet [player_tooltip player_id='1759665' first='Asher' last='Poitra'] from West Fargo. The 6'0 230 pounder is a thumper of a middle linebacker that has a well-versed tackling ability that makes you think he he is even bigger than his frame shows off as a guaranteed tackler in the middle of the field for the Packers defense. He boosts fluid hands getting off blocks to the point of attack as that might be one of the better skillsets Asher has at his disposal, is having meat-grinder type hands to meet the ball carrier even in tight windows. He also has a bigger motor than he might get credit for in my eyes.     Ethan is a newcomer to our rankings that comes in as LB7 in our 2027 North Dakota rankings out of West Fargo Sheyenne. The 5'10 185 pounder might be slightly undersized, but you can't miss on watching his instincts come alive getting down to the ball carrier as for his size, he got a great amount of range he can cover as well. I've said it before and I will keep saying it, I like linebackers that play downhill, and Ethan surely shows off that he can do that on a consistent basis. He is also quite agile with again utilzing his angles to get around blockers before they get to him at the point of attack.
