We may be looking at some of the deepest young classes at the signal caller position in the Peach State that we have seen in a very long time. There are so many young standout quarterbacks that have already made names for themselves or looking to make names for themselves. Either way, I'm going to spotlight five to follow this off-season and season in year 2026. Special quarterbacks here and all next level guys in the near future!

[player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'] obviously stands out on this list out of Dalton (GA). I have covered Woods a long time now, even before his early shining high school days. Woods led the state passing in his second year in high school. Woods brings to the table, great size, attributes, athleticism and arm strength with a lot of accuracy. My favorite thing about his game is his ability to create, scramble and make unorthodox plays. He is second to none at doing that. Woods is ultra talented and will have a MASSIVE 2026 off-season and season!

[player_tooltip player_id='476854' first='Zack' last='Parker'] is certainly one of my favorite quarterbacks to cover. I have covered Parker since his middle school days, and he's always impressed me with his game. Parker has elite arm talent, he's got elite scrambling ability, and he can run as good as any in the state when he has to. He's a pass first guy but can hurt a defense in more ways than one. My favorite thing about Parker's game is his unorthodox playing style, being able to throw from many different angles, which not all quarterbacks can do in high school. His ability to extend plays, scrambling and keeping his eyes down field and delivering a strike to his targets. He's got a huge year ahead of him in the 2026 season. Currently holds several offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1594772' first='Charlie' last='Baxter'] is a spectacular young quarterback who has proven to be one of the top quarterbacks in all of the 2029 class. Baxter is special. He's another one who can throw from different angles and make plays on the fly. He can really extend plays and buy time while looking to make a big play for his team, he's done it time and time again and he's going to do it a lot more. He's got a high IQ and a bright, bright season ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='409989' first='Trace' last='Hawkins'] who has what most young quarterbacks do not yet have is a state championship. Hawkins is another signal caller I have covered since his middle school days. Hawkins goes into his freshman year and leads his team to the state championship game and leads them to a title victory. He has impressed for the past two years and though him and his team came up short of repeating, they look to get back in 2026. Hawkins has an all-around game and is one of the best in the state. As long as you have Hawkins leading the way, you can certainly win another. Big-time talent to follow this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='438058' first='Ben' last='Musser'] is clearly one of the best quarterbacks in not just the 2027 class but the entire state regardless of class. Musser just committed to play his college ball at APP State. Musser has the laser arm and the ability to escape pressure. He has a high IQ and is just an all-around signal caller that you want leading your team. He is a special quarterback and a guy to follow this year, a big, big year in 2026!
