Breaking Down the Loaded 2028 Indiana TE Rankings

The TE position from the 2028 class is a fully loaded group, and today, we're taking a look at the TEs ranked inside the Top 200 and what they bring to the table as they enter year 3.    Schott is someone we've covered heavily since the 2028 class first started developing, and he's done nothing but improve and become a nationally ranked prospect. He checks every box for a TE you are looking to develop at the next level. He has the size, the physicality, the athletic upside, untapped potential, and football IQ to become a star at the next level. He's a hardworking recruit who doesn't seem to let the hype get to him. The P5 offers have started to pour in and likely won't stop anytime soon.     Manship is someone I've seen in person a few times who not only has always looked the part, but the potential has always been clear and obvious. He's a natural athlete with long strides, big hands, and knows how to use his frame down the field. He's a big redzone target for his offense and will come down with those 50/50 balls. He's a capable blocker but is best when he's out on routes creating mismatches for the offense. His 8 TDs alone last year had defenses keying on him.     Behrendt is one of my favorite prospects in the 2028 class because he's right in the heart of the state, has all the traits, does is all on the field, and yet hasn't quite gotten the eyes he deserves. He's got a legit 6'4" frame that he's still filling out. He's nimble, a good athlete, has a strong core, and can be a true end of line blcoker. He's also got good hands and can make some incredible highlight catches with defenders hanging onto him for dear life. Everything he does on the field is smooth and he just chews up yardage in a hurry with those long strides. It's only a matter of time until his recruitment takes off.     Everts is a rising TE who has the frame and athletiscm you look for at the position. He's a true end-of-line TE who can seal the edge and help block in the running game. He's fairly quick off the line and has good hands. He's able to make catches off his body and use his strong hands to keep it through contact. I like his ability right up the seam and the target that he gives his QB. He had a good sophomore year and looks to be trending in the right direction as they roll into their upperclassmen years.     Hughes is a multi-sport athlete for Cathedral and has potential in both football and baseball. He's a good athlete with decent speed for the TE spot. His hand-eye coordination is good, and he's got good hands. He's able to go over the middle and take some big pops. He's nimble and bends well coming off the ball and getting downfield. His contact balance and ability to break tackles are a plus, and he seems like a guy who takes a big leap in year 3.     Brown is a versatile and reliable piece for the Brownsburg offense. He's a hard-nosed physical player who has no issue doing the dirty work. He's a good blocker in both the running and passing game and has good handplacement. When he's on the move as a lead blocker, he clears space and creates lanes. He's capable in the passing game and has decent hands, and hopefully sees more opportunities this fall. I like his unselfish playstyle and how he's willing to do whatever he's asked to get the job done.     Dobbs had a solid second year and worked his way into having a key role for the Greencastle offense. He gives them a big target and can help stretch the defense. He was active in the running game, helping block as well. He started on defense as well, but I feel like his calling card is on the offensive side of the ball. His 26 catches for 323 yards and 3 TDs in year 2 set the tone for what he can bring to the offense in year 3 with another summer under his belt.     Nusbaum jumped onto the scene at the Stock Up Showcase this past winter and has continued to improve and look the part. He's a fairly good athlete who is much smoother than defenses would expect. He's got soft hands and can break tackles after the catch. He has experience on the defensive side of the ball, which always helps in how you see the field as an offensive player. He strikes me as someone smart who learns quickly, and could very well be an absolute steal when everything is said and done for the 2028 class.     Lipe is an upcoming piece for the HSE offense who can bring some more versatility and upside to the field. He's a willing blocker in the running game and doesn't shy away from it or the contact in the trenches. He's got good vision down the field and can find an area to settle to give his QB a spot. He's got good movement at the top of his routes and can create some space that way to make it an easier throw. I think he jumps into a big role this fall, and I'm curious to see how he does, because he's someone who could fly up the boards.
