Zionsville is looking to have a great season and it will start with Schott, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound tight end. While I have seen Schott at school, I haven’t seen him actually play on the field yet. College teams have taken notice of his talents, and he could well be the state’s top Class of 2028 prospect with his elite skills as a receiver: strong hands, great route-running ability and adjustment to the ball.

is Zionsville’s top prospect and for good reason. The tall, athletic, and very strong pass catcher with great hands has excellent leaping ability and high-points the ball. He can take remarkably tough hits and still come down with possession of the ball. Schott’s ball skills are outstanding. He is also strong after the catch, running through contact and winning in a footrace.

Schott is someone we’ve covered heavily since the 2028 class first started developing, and he’s done nothing but improve and become a nationally ranked prospect. He checks every box for a TE you are looking to develop at the next level. He has the size, the physicality, the athletic upside, untapped potential, and football IQ to become a star at the next level. He’s a hardworking recruit who doesn’t seem to let the hype get to him. The P5 offers have started to pour in and likely won’t stop anytime soon.

Schott checks all the boxes for a TE recruit that you could look for. He’s got the frame, the athleticism, downfield ability, core strength to block at the line, and can be a mismatch on the outside. He’s currently got offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, IU, and likely many more on the way.

During the NCAA evaluation period, his recruiting blew up as he now holds 14 offers from some of the top teams in the country.

is a starting tight end for Zionsville. A strong pass catcher who can be a threat after the catch, Schott has the makings of a top tight end who will eb heavily recruited. Expect his recruiting to blow up in January. At 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Schott will only grow and get better over the next two seasons and develop into a future star. Holds offers from Purdue, Alabama, Illinois, Oregon and Louisville.

Schott displays excellent hands and adjustment back to the ball. Gets open, settles and finds soft spots in zones, and keeps plays alive for the quarterback. Good after-the-catch and flashes ability to run through contact. Holds an early offer from Purdue.

Schott is gaining momentum quickly, and it’s easy to see why. He’s got the build you want at TE and moves really well for his size. He’s quick enough to get open and does real damage with the ball in his hands, which tells me he’s comfortable in space and confident after the catch. He can also hold his own blocking on the end of the line, and that’s always a huge plus. On top of that, a 4.0 GPA keeps every door open for him and shows me he’s disciplined off the field, too. I think the potential is sky-high.
