Expert Analysis

It’s hard not to like the son of an NFL legend. Unlike his father and older brother, Vinatieri will not be a kicker but will be a safety at the next level. From his closing speed, instincts, size, frame, and open-field tackling ability, Vinatieri flashes the goods to be a great prospect. Another prospect from Zionsville who I haven’t yet seen in-person and doesn’t have any offers yet.

The staff is very high on Class of 2028 safety Gabriel Vinatieri Gabriel Vinatieri 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Zionsville | 2028 State IN , the son of NFL legendary kicker Adam Vinatieri and a recruit who hasn’t been noticed much by the major recruiting websites. Gabe has the potential to be an outstanding safety for the Eagles. He is a great run defender, takes great angles to the ball and is a proven tackler in space. Vinatieri makes a high impact for the team on special teams as a coverage defender, where his speed and pursuit angles are outstanding.

Vinatieri has the pedigree and build to be successful on the field for a long time. He’s got fantastic range and vision on the field. He’s got a good feel for the things happening around him and sees things developing. He’ll trust what he sees and fly to the ball. His 17 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 interception, and forced fumble through 5 weeks show some of his potential, but I feel he’s just scratching the surface.
