Behrendt is one of my favorite prospects in the 2028 class because he’s right in the heart of the state, has all the traits, does is all on the field, and yet hasn’t quite gotten the eyes he deserves. He’s got a legit 6’4″ frame that he’s still filling out. He’s nimble, a good athlete, has a strong core, and can be a true end of line blcoker. He’s also got good hands and can make some incredible highlight catches with defenders hanging onto him for dear life. Everything he does on the field is smooth and he just chews up yardage in a hurry with those long strides. It’s only a matter of time until his recruitment takes off.

Behrendt is fun to watch. He’s got experience lining up on the ball and can block, but just as easily, knows how to get open. He’s a menace in zone and always seems to find a massive gap. He’ll make some incredible catches with guys draped all over him. He’ll lay out for the ball without hesitation and make some highlight-worthy grabs. He also strikes me as someone who understands football the right way. He’s smooth, has no issue bending, and glides all over the field.

Behrendt is a versatile player with a big frame that jumps out right away. He’s strong, puts in the work in the weight room, and has the build to develop into either a true end-of-line tight end or an outside X receiver. He’s got big hands and a long wingspan. The potential is obvious, and if he puts everything together on the field, I think it’s safe to say he’ll be a hot commodity sooner rather than later.
