Baltimore's Top Edge Rushers Climbing the Rankings

He consistently makes plays in the backfield, whether it's tackles for loss, sacks, or strip sacks. Taylor is currently considered the No. 1 EDGE rusher in Baltimore. He demonstrated an impressive bull rush on film, pushing the blocker straight out of the way to create a sack. In pursuit, he's tough to get away from. He does a good job setting the edge and retracing his steps back to the play. His athleticism was also on full display on a play where he caught a deep ball while lined up at receiver/tight end. Wheeler already holds top Division I offers from Ohio State University, Louisiana State University, and University of Georgia. He beats blockers off the line and gets around the edge with quickness. Spires closes on the quarterback fast and shows flashes of a high motor, fighting through blockers to finish plays. Spires currently holds offers from FAU and picked up an offer from Liberty University just last month in January. Spano is an EDGE rusher with a versatile skill set. In the run game, he reads and reacts quickly, highlighted by his 76 tackles on the season. He's not just a run stopper, he also recorded 10 sacks, proving he is a force off the edge who can impact both the run and pass game. Spano currently holds two Division I offers from Kent State and Monmouth. He can beat defenders with his chop move, hand-to-hand combat, and speed. He can line up as a stand-up end or with his hand in the dirt, and he's shown the ability to beat blockers both inside and outside. McClendon recently picked up his first Division I offer from Liberty University.
