On January 4th, Prep Redzone Tennessee hosted its own Winter Showcase to highlight and give a spotlight to some of the under-the-radar prospects inside the state.

As prospects got verified measurements, flashed their athleticism and competed in one-on-one settings against other prospects, several players quickly rose to the top during the afternoon.

These 10 prospects on the offensive side of the ball stepped up against strong competition and showed their talent during the entire event (players are grouped by position and not in any ranked order).

USJ 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='446208' first='Cayden' last='Creech']

[player_tooltip player_id='446208' first='Cayden' last='Creech'] was the quarterback that caught my attention the most during the event with the velocity that he generates on his throws and that allows him to fit passes in tight windows on a rope to the exact location that he wants.

That was evident on short passes, throws to the sideline and throws downfield. He has solid footwork that allows him to maintain his base and generate maximum velocity on the throws with impressive touch when looking downfield.

Riverdale 2028 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1868595' first='Jacob' last='Vaughn']

Purely athletically speaking, sophomore all-purpose back [player_tooltip player_id='1868595' first='Jacob' last='Vaughn'] is a freak, leading the way in explosive testing metrics, including leading the pro shuttle drill by a whopping 0.17 seconds.

He is explosive in every sense of the word and that has provided home-run ability on the football field for him, which showed up as a receiver during the showcase event this afternoon.

Knoxville Catholic 2029 RB Kruise Buntyn Jr

Kruise Buntyn Jr is a sturdy downhill rusher and events like this can tend to not show their best abilities, but the freshman running back broke down those stereotypes and looked encouragingly explosive.

He has the best L-Drill time at seven seconds flat and showed there is still another large step forward in his development to be expected next season after being one of the top 2029 playmakers in the state already this season.

Forrest 2028 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1589943' first='Quincy' last='Mitchell']

[player_tooltip player_id='1589943' first='Quincy' last='Mitchell'] is another shorter, sturdy running back that has good one-cut ability, but he impressed with his explosive testing today during the showcase event as well.

He was among the best in attendance at the broad jump and L-Drill, showing off his raw explosiveness and change of direction ability, something that he could tap into even more next season, which would be scary for opponents.

Blackman 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1103038' first='Brylan' last='Oduor']

[player_tooltip player_id='1103038' first='Brylan' last='Oduor'] did exactly what I expected him to do and that was to be among the best performers at the entire event and test out exceptionally well during the athletic testing period.

He is a Power Four level receiver prospect that can win at all three levels with his size, speed, vertical ability and athleticism. His skillset tends to work out consistently at the next level and he has shown no reason why he will not to this point.

He beat the best defensive back in attendance in an one-on-one setting by winning the leverage battle, showing some more layering to his ability to get open, which could help him take another step forward in his development.

Page 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1646108' first='Drew' last='Rempel']

[player_tooltip player_id='1646108' first='Drew' last='Rempel'] is a super intriguing prospect as a versatile and big weapon for a innovative offensive coordinator and he showed exactly what I hoped he would during the showcase event.

He tested out better than I could have hoped for and consistently won on routes downfield. He has another huge step forward on the way next season after shining in his first season at the receiver position this year. He is a Division One level receiver prospect.

Knoxville Webb 2028 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1704680' first='Jackson' last='Walters']

Arguably my biggest winner of the event, [player_tooltip player_id='1704680' first='Jackson' last='Walters'] came in with a large, strong frame along with impressive straight line athleticism and high-pointing ability as a receiver.

He could be on breakout watch for next season with George Quarles taking over the reigns of the Webb program and he has an intriguing skillset that he should grow upon during his junior season.

Lipscomb Academy 2028 TE Jack Clinite

Jack Clinite is a very long receiving tight end option at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds and he showcased his natural athleticism and large catch radius this afternoon as he consistently gave his quarterback somewhere to target.

He needs to pack on more weight, but he gives the Mustangs a potential breakout pass catcher for a team that will be losing some receiving options to graduation. He is an intriguing athlete at the tight end position for next season.

Battle Ground Academy 2028 OT [player_tooltip player_id='423394' first='Koehn' last='Dial']

[player_tooltip player_id='423394' first='Koehn' last='Dial'] is a blue-chip tackle prospect for a reason and those reasons were shown today during the event. He is very, very long with excellent athleticism which allows for him to mirror any defensive lineman that he ever goes against.

My biggest takeaway from his one-on-one reps was the very strong anchor he possesses when he locks in on a block and can set his ground

The next step for him still relies upon him consistently preventing defensive lineman from getting into his frame. If he improves in that area and becomes more assertive, he has immense potential with NFL traits.

Knoxville Webb 2029 IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez']

[player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'] worked at left guard in the one-on-one reps that I saw and it was the same story that it was on the football field as a freshman in high school.

His anchor is rock solid and when he sets his base, he is impossible to work through, no matter the lineman prospect and skillset lined up across from him. He will be one of the best players in the state for the 2029 class.

Knoxville Webb 2029 IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1537346' first='Brayden' last='Gonzalez']

He worked as the center in his one-on-one reps and he made a loud statement as one of the best offensive lineman in attendance amongst a strong position group.

He has a very strong anchor when his base is set and by the end of the afternoon, the high school freshman was consistently introducing defensive lineman to the smell of turf.
