Jackson Walters Jackson Walters 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Alcoa | 2028 State TN is in a loaded offense at Alcoa, which even features a Division I commit as the starting tight end. That said, I feel strongly about the 2028 prospect and think you’ll see a lot of good things this season. He flashed a bit at Knox Webb last season, but will now play for an elite Tennessee team.

He’s playing on both sides of the football, but I love his upside as a TE/H-Back. He stands nearly 6-foot-5 and weighs 235 pounds with a stout frame. Walters is a solid receiver who can be good in that area, but his blocking ability is what intrigues me. The junior is strong, plays with violent intentions, has good technique and possesses a high motor.

“Big-bodied athlete, quality mover for his size and age, good red zone target, good pass catcher for the position, mismatch against defensive backs and smaller linebackers.”

Walters is actually a familar name to me, and he is ranked highly by our TN scouts. He is a D1 caliber TE, which Tennessee has several of in the upcoming classes.

Jackson Walters Jackson Walters 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Alcoa | 2028 State TN reinforced his upside as a pass catcher and not just a blocking option at the Battle in the Bluegrass State. The 2028 tight end consistently showed natural hands, catching the ball cleanly away from his frame, and did an excellent job high-pointing throws. At 6’4 240 with length and strong hands, he understands how to use his size to his advantage, elevating over defenders and finishing plays at the catch point. His ability to win above defenders adds another layer to his game and makes him a legitimate mismatch target, especially in the red zone, and he moved well for his size and age.

Sophomore athlete Jackson Walters Jackson Walters 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Alcoa | 2028 State TN can play well at all positions due to his size and physicality, but projects best as a tight end. He has that nice mix of receiving upside with blocking skills to be one of the more balanced tight ends in the state.

Walters is a solid receiver with nice footwork, strong hands, the ability to turn upfield to pick up more yardage and an underrated amount of twitch. However, his best skills are in the trenches. The 2028 TE is an excellent blocker, especially when leading the way with aggression, nice hand placement and solid pad level.
