is quietly one of the most productive players in Tennessee and possesses some nice tools. He’s coming off an excellent 2025 campaign and has continued to play well this season. His arm has been used much less than a year ago, but don’t let that fool you. Manu can ball.
He’s a compact signal caller, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds with an athletic frame. Manu controls the game at a high level, consistently leading his team while protecting the ball. He has nice arm talent with solid arm strength, excellent accuracy, nice touch on his passes and the ability to make just about every throw on the field.
Manu came up short as a finalist last year for Mr. Football but with his return this Fall, the Tornadoes signal caller has to be at the top of the list to take home the state’s top individual honor. Ranked as a top fifteen quarterback by Prep Redzone Tennessee, Manu could be poised for a monster senior season, especially with a loaded offensive roster surrounding him. Even though running the ball will be key, I could see the Tornadoes staff throwing the ball much more this season due to the arm talent of Manu and his deep receiving corps. I could see Manu produce over 3,000 yards passing while remaining efficient while providing the occasional threat to tuck it and run. The Tornadoes quarterback heads into the 2026 season as the leader for this honor and an almost definite finalist for Mr. Football.
It was tough competition for our 4A player of the year but it was hard to look past Manu and his sensational junior season. Leading his team to a 4A state championship, the Tornadoes quarterback was near flawless last season where Manu threw for 3,099 yards and 45 touchdowns with only 2 interceptions while scoring 4 more times on 327 yards rushing. His production was strong and a big factor behind taking this honor but Manu might have been most impressive with his calm presence and leadership behind center. This rising senior signal caller is a cool customer with the ball in his hands that tends to make winning plays and we get to enjoy his game play here in Tennessee for one more season.
