Measuring in at 5'11" 160-Pounds, Grigsby Jr, was one of the taller Defensive Backs in attendance in Warwick. The Nyack Prospect, can look to reach the 175-180-Pound Mark to help fill out hill frame as he progresses through High School. His length, and footwork, give me a projection of Safety for him. He displayed excellent footwork in drills, and did an excellent job chopping his feet, and closing in during drills. In the 1v1 portion, he had some solid reps, and was coachable through the day. He made a few mistakes, but improved in each new attempt. Grigsby Jr is a player who wants to improve, and as a rising Junior, he has a ton of potential. Look for him to be a deadly threat in Section 1 next season.

Webb was the lone Senior in the DB room in Warwick. The Pine Bush prospect measured in at 5'7" 128-Pounds. I want to see him fill out his frame, as he is on the leaner side for a DB, and reaching the 150-Pound mark should be a goal for the 2026 Prospect. In the testing portion, he showed some solid speed, and a quick burst giving him the projection of a Safety. Webb, was on the athletic side for the DB's, His speed was his biggest trait, and he showed great straight line acceleration and speed. If he falls behind in a rep, he has the speed to catch up and make a play on the ball. He has excellent athleticism, and can look to improve in his footwork, and Press Technique moving forward.

Vecchiarello was the youngest DB in attendance, and I was impressed with what he brought to the table. The 2029 Prospect, measured in at 5'7" 168-Pounds, showing an excellent build for a DB, entering his Sophomore year, he has plenty of room to go, and will likely fill out his frame in no time. Vecchiarello, has a good combine, and displayed good speed. He likely projects as a Safety, and can look to be a great run stuffer from the Secondary. He displayed excellent body control throughout the afternoon, and I was impressed with his skills for a young prospect. Vecchiarello, can look to improve his traits across the board, but I have no doubt he will be a solid DB moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285143' first='Omar' last='Areche'] was a clear standout in Warwick. Due to numbers, we had him switch from WR-DB, and he was impressive. He worked with both sides of the ball, and started at WR reps, where his footwork, was impressive. He was sticky in coverage, and extremely hard to lose. He gave receivers no room to operate, and was extremely physical off the line. He gave QB's extremely tight windows on every rep, and his footwork, and hands in reps stood out. He made one of the best DB plays of the afternoon, going up for an interception on a WR, impressing everyone in attendance throughout the afternoon.

Your Prep Redzone Stock Up New York Showcase DB MVP, is Darren Garrett. Garrett was extremely impressive in Warwick. I saw him at out NJ Showcase, where he had an impressive showing, and he backed that up in Warwick. The 2028 Prospect, measured in at 5'9" 156-Pounds, displaying a good build for a DB. I like him mainly as a Corner, and I have confidence he will fill out his frame throughout High School. He was touted as one of the most challenging DB's, Wide Receivers have played. He was excellent with his hands, and displayed good Press Coverage. I liked his footwork, as he was excellent in back tracking, and followed it up with a quick acceleration to make a play on the ball. He has a solid frame, and using his body more on reps toward the sideline is something he can work on moving forward. Regardless, Garrett was extremely impressive and is easily one of the top DB's in the state in 2028.
