Your Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase New York Defensive Lineman MVP is [player_tooltip player_id='2076780' first='Jason' last='Sica'] . Sica had an impressive combine, ranking in the top half for each drill, and showing an incredible burst with some solid speed for a DL prospect. Sica measured in at 6'0" 198-Pounds, and can add some more weight. I like the 215 mark for him. He has plenty of time as he is only a 2028 prospect. Sica was incredibly deadly off the EDGE, and displayed excellent hands which were used in Pass Rush. He has excellent body control, and understands leverage off the EDGE.

Arias entered Warwick, as a veteran Catholic League Pass Rusher, who has caught my eye at multiple times this season. He measured in at 6'2" 248-Pounds, showing an outstanding build for an EDGE Rusher. Arias had a good testing portion, and put together some solid numbers for a Defensive Line Prospect. He displayed a quick burst, and got out of his stance quickly. He was aggressive at the POA, and left Tackles fighting to keep him in front. He displayed a high IQ, and when Pass Rushing, he used a tool bag of moves, along with good footwork to move inside, after beating players off the EDGE. He consistently won Reps, and his Rip Moves were elite in Warwick.

Nunez was one of the veteran Lineman in Warwick. He can play both sides of the ball, but as the Showcase, he took defensive reps. Standing at 6'1" 268-Pounds, he displays good size for a Defensive Lineman, and mainly fits on the interior of the Line. He had a solid showing in Warwick, and was quick out of his stance. He had a good first step and utilized his punch on almost every rep. His hand placement and footwork were exceptional, beating each Lineman he faced, and knocking them off balance.

Measuring in at 6'2" 288-Pounds, Pierce was an impressive lineman on the defensive side. The 2028 Prospect displays a solid build, and being only a Sophomore has tons of room to grow into his frame. He currently projects as an Interior Lineman, and I agree with this. I caught a handful of Reps, and one thing that stood out consistently were his Rush Moves. His club caught the most attention, as he used this move with confidence, and when hitting the outside shoulder, used an exceptional IQ to win on the inside.

Healy was a prospect who consistently caught my eye in Warwick. He can play on either side of the line, but chose to run with the defense at the showcase. Healy measured in at 6'1" 281-Pounds, showcasing a solid build for a Defensive Lineman, The 2027 Graduate projects mainly on the interior, and had an outstanding day in Warwick. His stance was the one thing I was iffy about as on the defensive side it felt more like an offensive stance, but his power rush moves, and his IQ was displayed as he was able to cross face Lineman. He was elite in Warwick, and I see a big season coming for the Rising Senior.

Wood measured in at 5'6" 212-Pounds, displaying a solid build for a Linebacker. He has plenty of room to grow, being only a Freshman, and the St.Anthony's prospect, also displays some versatility with the ability to play on the offensive line if he were to grow and gain weight. Wood had a solid showcase in Warwick, and displayed flashes of potential. In his combine portion, he was a solid tester ranking in the middle of the pack. In 1v1 Drills, and Indy, he displayed good footwork, with the ability to move with a quick burst of speed. I did not see many coverage reps of him, which is a mistake on my part, but nothing egregious stood out from the lB side in those reps regardless. Wood has a bright future ahead of him, and can easily be a top playmaker in the CHSFL in a few years.

He was one of the older prospects in Warwick, and this upcoming season, will be a Senior. The Northport Prospect, measured in at 5'9" 197-Pounds, displaying an excellent build for a Linebacker. The 5'10" 210-Pound mark would be ideal, but it is not necessary for his build. Magro was one of the LB's I got the best look at in Warwick, as he had an impressive showcase. He played big, and displayed a high motor along with solid footwork, which helped him throughout drills. I did not see many coverage reps, but according to the Coaches watching, he had a successful day in the category. Magro find himself unranked which will change in the next update for the 2027 Class.

Klffka was one of the younger prospects in attendance in Warwick. The Lancaster Freshman, measured in at 5'11" 210-Pounds displaying an impressive build for a 2029 Athlete. Klaffka displays a versatile frame as well, which allows him to line up as an EDGE rusher and as a LB. When I see a player who can do both I think of Will Anderson. Klaffka has tons of room to improve, and will only get better, and he displayed good footwork, and coverage throughout the showcase. I like him a lot, and in the initial 2029 Rankings, Klaffka will find himself ranked.

Mack was another 2029 Player I enjoyed watching. Mack was on the smaller side of the spectrum, but the 2029 Prospect, played with a high motor, and attacked every rep and drill. Mack measured in at 5'5" 170-Pounds, and has plenty of time to grow, and as a Freshman, is at a solid weight mark. He was a quicker athlete in drills, and got downfield in a hurry, forcing the RB's to make quick decisions. His footwork was solid, but can be improved as he continues to progress. Mack had a solid showcase, and will be a player to watch in the CHSFL soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285143' first='Omar' last='Areche'] was a clear standout in Warwick. Due to numbers, we had him switch from WR-DB, and he was impressive. He worked with both sides of the ball, and started at WR reps, where his footwork, was impressive. He was sticky in coverage, and extremely hard to lose. He gave receivers no room to operate, and was extremely physical off the line. He gave QB's extremely tight windows on every rep, and his footwork, and hands in reps stood out. He made one of the best DB plays of the afternoon, going up for an interception on a WR, impressing everyone in attendance throughout the afternoon.

Your Prep Redzone Stock Up New York Showcase DB MVP, is [player_tooltip player_id='1429267' first='Darren' last='Garrett']. Garrett was extremely impressive in Warwick. I saw him at out NJ Showcase, where he had an impressive showing, and he backed that up in Warwick. The 2028 Prospect, measured in at 5'9" 156-Pounds, displaying a good build for a DB. I like him mainly as a Corner, and I have confidence he will fill out his frame throughout High School. He was touted as one of the most challenging DB's, Wide Receivers have played. He was excellent with his hands, and displayed good Press Coverage. I liked his footwork, as he was excellent in back tracking, and followed it up with a quick acceleration to make a play on the ball. He has a solid frame, and using his body more on reps toward the sideline is something he can work on moving forward. Regardless, Garrett was extremely impressive and is easily one of the top DB's in the state in 2028.
