One of the best two-way prospects to compete was Jason Sica Jason Sica 6'1" | 195 lbs | EDGE/LB Whippany Park | 2028 NJ . Initially Sica took all of his reps at linebacker; however, toward the end of the event he asked to take reps amongst the defensive lineman since he mostly plays edge. As a traditional linebacker, Sica plays low and gets clean breaks on the ball. Pass covering might be a newer element to his game, however, as his eyes can improve some. Although he did a nice job of bailing to his spot, he needs to work his eyes back to the quarterback and also use his peripherals to see what is threatening him. Rather than playing down hill, he elects and takes pursuit angles to the ball. coming up a bit first will prevent running backs from exploiting his leverage. When in pursuit toward the sideline I remarked that he has a wide frame that helps him corral the ball carrier and suffocate space. As an edge player, the first move he decided to deploy was the ghost dip. Later on he got home with a Eurostep. Overall I thought that Sica needs to work closer to the offensive lineman and run the hoop a bit tighter to him; I also thought that he was too quick and too nimble for all the offensive linemen he was competing against. All-in-all, I thought that Sica proved that he can play both linebacker and edge, as well as shining as one of the best prospects to compete.

Jason brings ideal length and frame to the position. His explosiveness off the ball consistently put offensive tackles in recovery mode, as he was able to threaten the edge with speed based rush moves and sharp counters. As a linebacker in pursuit, he showed impressive range and effort, eating up ground with long strides and tracking down plays from the backside while helping funnel ball carriers toward the sideline.

Jason Sica Jason Sica 6'1" | 195 lbs | EDGE/LB Whippany Park | 2028 NJ was one of the most versatile and disruptive defenders at the NJ Exposure Series event, earning recognition as my top edge defender while taking reps with both the linebackers and defensive line groups. He possesses excellent size, length, and overall dimensions for the position. Off the snap, he consistently showed quick get off and the ability to threaten tackles with finesse and speed rushing moves, including a fast, controlled spin move. In pursuit, Sica covered ground effortlessly with long strides and showed the range to chase running backs down the line while forcing everything back toward the sideline.

Jason Sica has more than enough speed to win along the edge. I noted how when coming off of the edge he completely turned his offensive matchup around. Later on Sica hit a masterful spin & pin, where in fact, I heard his pin slap and strike his matchup in the center of his back.

Sica measured in at 6’0″ 198-Pounds, and can add some more weight. I like the 215 mark for him. He has plenty of time as he is only a 2028 prospect. Sica was incredibly deadly off the EDGE, and displayed excellent hands which were used in Pass Rush. He has excellent body control, and understands leverage off the EDGE.
