At Prep Redzone WI we utilize the Watch List as a type of holding area. It is for the student athletes that have hit our radar, but we don't have enough to go off of to include them in the rankings. The vast majority of the time that means the athlete didn't have any recent, published tape to breakdown. So hold them in the Watch List and during every update I will go through the List and check for any new tape from the group. The ones who do publish tape from the most recent season are then moved into the rankings. This time around we had plenty of athletes get that first legitimate chunk of tape and it launched them high into the Class Rankings. Today, we breakdown that tape of the highest ranked athletes who made the jump from Watch List to Rankings. Each of these athletes debut as Top 100 overall players, so they will be ones to keep a close eye on. Let's get into it!

The Class of 2028 is bringing us a DL Class with a level of talent and depth at the top that we haven't seen in years. One of those exceptional talents is Edgewood's [player_tooltip player_id='1628031' first='Azindo' last='Takoro']. The sophomore has a great frame at 6'3" 300 lbs that he has built in the weight room over the past couple years. Azi is such a force on the interior and is so dominant that he can win every way at the HS level. His size and overwhelming power hold the line, stand up OLs, take on doubles, and can shed blocks with outstanding quickness and violence. It is special watching him find the football while fighting off blockers and then getting there to make the stop. This is an intriguing anchor on the interior that I believe can play at the highest level.

Noah is one of the OTs in this Class that excites me for what could be ahead of him. He has a frame that is oozing with potential. The length to play OT is there and the 255 lbs is so easily carried on his frame, showing that he will be able to continue to pack on the size and strength over the coming years and at the college level. His best trait currently is the athleticism that he brings to the position. That athleticism has made his pass blocking very effective. Noah is morphing into that dancing bear who can naturally get deep into his pass set or get up to level two and react quickly to counter pass rush moves. He pairs that with well placed hand strikes. As he becomes even more of a physical bully the sophomore is only going to get more enticing for the next level. Big things ahead for the OT.

In his sophomore season Camden piled up 600+ all purpose yards and 7 TDs on varsity. That is just a glimpse of what his future impact could be for the Catholic Memorial offense. Camden's instincts and vision with the ball in his hands jump off the tape. He is so quick to recognize where to attack, but also has the patience when it isn't there to find that secondary lane to attack. Whenever he finds that aiming point, Camden is shot out of a cannon. He is quick through traffic and can get to top speed so fast. That allows him to beat angles to the edge as well as downfield when he really can open up and stride it out. The sophomore already has shown he can be utilized in the screen game too. Getting him blockers in space in those scenarios has proven to be a major advantage for the offense thanks to Shumpert's speed and vision. The kid is a playmaker who is only going to see more action going forward. Don't overlook the 2028 Top 5 RB.

Landon is a two-way athlete for Kewaunee, but as his highlights show he makes his targets impact at LT. Landon is another interesting prospect. He doesn't have that typical OL size, but at 6'2" 235 lbs he is making a huge impact. He delivers how you might expect with his range and quickness to close on defenders and always have himself in the right leverage and body position. What is a surprise is how physical and violent he is. Mauling DL while only tipping the scales at 235 lbs is no easy feat, but the sophomore is a bully when the ball is snapped and does his best to finish every block with force. I can't wait to watch Landon continue to grow and transform his game over the coming years.

This is a fun RB to watch. The 5'11" 200 lbs sophomore is a compact RB, with a very low center of gravity. He piled up over 1,000 yards rushing on varsity in 2025, and that could be just the start of what he does the next two years. Axzil has built a thick, strong frame that can handle that wear and tear of a high workload. His ability to play through contact and keep gaining yards helps him wear down the defense and get stronger as the game goes on. Eggert is at his best between the tackles and does really well instantly reading, reacting, and avoiding defenders in tight quarters. Big things ahead for Eggert and the Freedom offense.

DonQuell plays all over the LB positions for Milwaukee Academy of Science, but he might be at his best at the safety position when he heads to the next level. Wilson is so talented in coverage. He easily gets depth dropping into the middle of the field. It is so effortless for him to transition out of his backpedal to turn and run or come back downhill to attack the ball. The sophomore does well moving through traffic while filling against the run game. The 2028 athlete can line up in several spots around the field and contribute.

Pewaukee is continuing its history of producing intriguing defensive athletes with the Class of 2028. [player_tooltip player_id='1308431' first='Bryson' last='King'] made plays all over the field as a three down LB for the varsity defense as just a sophomore. In coverage he has the mobility, burst, and ability to read the QB's eyes so that he can get his hands into passing lanes. Against the run Bryson does well moving through traffic and several times he flashes the knack for getting through the OL nearly untouched. He flows with the play while still coming downhill to meet the ball to minimize gain. Big things ahead for Bryson and this Pewaukee defense.

Parker is going to enter his junior season this fall as one of the state's best 8 man players. The 6'1" 195 lbs RB/Wr is a force on both sides of the ball. On offense, Parker is a one cut back who is so smooth through traffic when he sticks that foot in the ground and gets upfield. He has built a strong frame that is hard to just get off balance and even harder to tackle. The sophomore brings such physicality to the field on every snap. I'm very excited to see the numbers that the 2028 athlete is able to produce.

Luke is in line to compete for a massive increase in varsity playing time on the DL. Grafton graduates a lot of talent at the position and the 6'4" 225 lbs 2028 could be up next. In 2025 the sophomore spent time playing JV while also getting a taste of varsity action. Luke flashes a solid first step that has gotten him into the backfield quickly. It is great to see him playing with his hands and using that length of his to keep himself clean so he can be quicker to shed and make tackles. This offseason is the time for him to push himself to that next level. Become quicker, stronger and build upon his hand use technique. I'm excited for what is to come from the 2028.
