We stay in the 2028 DL Class with our DL2. Azindo is a massive athlete who mans the middle of the trenches for Edgewood. Teams don’t necessarily have to find him because he is constantly in the middle, but they need to spend every week planning how they want to have their OL try and contain him. Azi can win and impact in so many ways. He can win on his own with the burst and violent power packed into that 6’3″ 300 lbs frame. Or he can eat up multiple blocks at once and let his LBs eat freely behind him. This 2028 DT/NG has been steadily improving his game, so I am pumped to see where he is at by the time fall rolls around.

Azindo Takoro Azindo Takoro 6'3" | 300 lbs | DL Edgewood | 2028 State WI of Edgewood High School is the cream of the crop when it comes to the DL group coming out of Madison. The 2028 is a mammoth of a man at 6’3″ 300 lbs, and it is a strong and explosive 300 lbs that has been built in the weight room. Azindo doesn’t just stand out with his sheer size. It is the way he can burst off the line with an explosive first step. The way he can collapse the interior of the pocket with his overwhelming power and force from his hands to his feet. The big man also demonstrates elite body control while shedding blocks or splitting double teams. The big man is a special talent that is only going to get bigger and stronger going forward.

The Class of 2028 is bringing us a DL Class with a level of talent and depth at the top that we haven’t seen in years. One of those exceptional talents is Edgewood’s Azindo Takoro Azindo Takoro 6'3" | 300 lbs | DL Edgewood | 2028 State WI . The sophomore has a great frame at 6’3″ 300 lbs that he has built in the weight room over the past couple years. Azi is such a force on the interior and is so dominant that he can win every way at the HS level. His size and overwhelming power hold the line, stand up OLs, take on doubles, and can shed blocks with outstanding quickness and violence. It is special watching him find the football while fighting off blockers and then getting there to make the stop. This is an intriguing anchor on the interior that I believe can play at the highest level.

This right here is one of the best overall players in the Class of 2028. I can easily see Azi working his way into a high level, Power 4 type of recruit by the time he is a senior. The strides he has made in one year, on and off the field, is elite. As a freshman he was 260 lbs. He is now a rock solid 300+ lbs at 6’3″. I was able to watch him in action this season and he jumps out from the crowd. Elite power to hold the line of scrimmage while eating up blocks. Or he can attack out of his stance, easily drive his OL off the ball and then flash his quick, violent hands to shed them. I also saw him run through and over double teams just in the game I watched live. The kid is a budding talent with rapidly developing traits. He just recently posted all his highlights from the season. One of the games is below. Go through it and several others.

The most impressive athlete of the night was sophomore DT Azindo Takoro Azindo Takoro 6'3" | 300 lbs | DL Edgewood | 2028 State WI . We will have to update the weight of his profile because the sophomore has blown up this past offseason. He now checks in at a solid 309 lbs. That extra size has been built in the weight room and it is showing up on Friday nights. Azindo has instant power in his movements. Off the line he quickly collapsed the pocket with his ability to bull rush the center. There were reps where the sophomore ran through the center and the RB providing help without losing a step, then got after the QB. Takoro matches his overall elite power with heavy hands that were able to quickly shed blockers to the side. For a 300+ lbs underclassman the range and motor he showed off really caught my eyes too. The 2028 DL is a special talent and a serious FBS level recruit with Power 4 potential. Get on this kid today if you aren’t already.
