It wasn’t the best night for Jack, but the senior has tools that grab your attention and hold it. First off, he has the size at 6’3″ 206 lbs. The senior will stand in the pocket and sling it around the field and attack all levels of the defense. The pocket passer is also very new to varsity action after serving as backup the past few years. Jack is just scratching the surface on what he could develop into at the D3 level. Definitely give the potential steal a considerable look.

It doesn’t get much more efficient than this for the senior in just his 2nd game as the varsity starter. Jack completed almost half of his passes for TDs on the night. The senior didn’t hold back either. He was bombs away from the jump and he has the arm talent to be able to drop those deep shots in a bucket to his WRs along with the accuracy necessary to hit his guys in stride. The quick decisions and reads made it impossible for DBs to read and react in time to make plays on the football leading to that extremely high completion percentage. One of those QBs I’m expecting to win a starting job is Edgewood’s Jack Lovell Jack Lovell 6'3" | 206 lbs | QB/LB Edgewood | 2027 State WI . A big-framed kid at 6’2″ 205 lbs, Jack looks the part of a next level QB. The arm talent from the 2027 QB stood out on the JV field in 2025. Jack has the arm to be not only deliver balls on a rope from the pocket but also while on the move outside the pocket. The accuracy on the move and the ability to drop the ball in between levels of defenders has me excited for how things could translate to Friday nights. The breakout year is on the way.

Edgewood graduates a talented signal caller this June, but it looks like they have their next man up at the position. Jack Lovell Jack Lovell 6'3" | 206 lbs | QB/LB Edgewood | 2027 State WI looks the part at 6’2″ 205 lbs, and his highlights show off an arm that can attack every level of the field. Jack does well on designed rollouts, both with his athleticism and his accuracy on the move. I remember Jack performing well at summer camps last season too. He seems ready to make the step into the QB1 role. Lucky for the new QB1, Edgewood also returns one of the best downfield threats at WR for their new QB to target. Don’t sleep on Jack.

Jack is a raw prospect, but he has tools and traits that could turn into an impressive prospect by his senior year if he puts the work in. Jack is 6’2″ 200 lbs and that big frame comes loaded with a big arm. Both at the camp and in his JV film Jack is able to let it rip deep downfield with ease. That big frame is able to create plenty of torque to rip the ball downfield with his feet set or not. I’m excited to see the strides the sophomore is able to make over this offseason.
