2027 Board Reset: PRZ Top 5, Sleepers, and DBs to Know

The top set of DBs in this state are elite, but there are plenty of guys simmering under the radar that are capable players, too. Come along with me and track these names throughout this offseason.   PRZ Top 5   Kamauri Dorsey   [player_tooltip player_id='1647162' first='Chance' last='Gilbert']   [player_tooltip player_id='378431' first='Adryan' last='Cole']   Corey Hadley Jr   [player_tooltip player_id='1630257' first='Ta'Shawn' last='Poole']   Sleepers    A stout, true N/S projection. Downhill, explosive player who drives hard on the ball. Looks like he will settle down and leverage, too. Impressive speed profile, PR'd at 10.99 in the 100M in the spring. He is starting to pick up some recruiting traction this winter, and I expect that to carry into the spring.     Thin, lean player with room to get bigger. His juice and traits will ultimately set the stage for his recruitment, as he still checks some boxes in those categories. However, this kid will come down and hit you. Really physical player at the point of attack who gets the most out of his game.     Long, lanky, extremely thin corner. Breakout player in state championship. 11.52 100M speed, really hard to fit the ball and make catches around his length. Makes chaos plays. Needs to fill out, but someone to track in case schools start offering, and small schools are already starting to do so.     Ibrahim is a shockingly underrated recruit who has been a favorite of mine for a while now. He is a long, slick athlete with a speed profile that projects best to safety. He can cover a lot of ground with his long strides. Played closer to the line this year as a nickel. He isn't afraid to come downhill and strike. Would be surprised if he didn't pick up recruiting traction this offseason.     Miley is a well-rounded player who has somehow gotten to this point in his HS career without a whole lot of recruiting attention. Feels like that will change this offseason. He is a well-rounded DB with size (6'0 180) and solid foot speed/quickness. However, it's his toughness and physicality that separate him. He isn't afraid to mix it up in the route, and he will come downhill and hit you, too.    Names to Track    Cut, long corner. Desirable length, hard to drop the ball over. Always a threat at the catch point. PR'd at 11.49 in the 100M. FBS offers last offseason are starting to yield to P4 offers. Checks a lot of boxes at corner, and I think he could benefit himself even more by going and camping for coaches in the summer.     Big, physical corner. Has the mass and length to be pesky and challenging at the line and in routes. Good foot speed for his size, can turn and run. Coaches might want to see him up close this summer. Underrated. Kid has D1 traits and is physical, will definitely keep an eye on him over the next few months.     I highlighted Graham earlier this month. He has flown up my board and is someone I am really intrigued by. Here is that write-up:   "Long, lanky 6'2 180 with plenty of growth potential. Listed at LB, but probably projects as a box safety/big nickel. Downhill, violent player. Plays patient, but greets blockers and tacklers aggressively. Controlled aggression. Holds FBS offers, and his combination of traits and violence surely project to that level."     Rare traits two-way player. Size would project best to receiver, but it looks like he is more comfortable as a DB. Can cover in man better than you'd think for his size. Fluid athlete who can turn, run, and match strides. Booming potential with offer potential on both sides of the ball. Long burn on this basketball athlete. Coaches are checking in.     Long, physical corner. Quick, efficient footwork to help him match routes and stride. Gets physical in his routes, especially when he attaches at the top of the route. I thought Mills was an FBS-caliber player when I watched him last month, and a few recent offers are backing that up.    2027 DB Rankings (As of 1/21/26)
