Colquitt County has an impressive crop of 2027 defenders, but the importance of Alford cannot be understated. He was a really productive player last fall, both against the ball and as a tackler. Alford is an instinctual, athletic, rangey S prospect who is all over the field. I love how he attaches to and matches routes, and then uses his ball skills to execute. In a region where several new QBs will be finding their way, Alford will once again play a big role in taking away targets and generating chaos plays as a senior.

A productive South Georgia defensive back who roams the field with ease and consistently puts himself in the right spot. Alford is a sure-tackling defender who plays fast and showed easy D1-caliber talent last season. The Colquitt County Packers are known for toughness and that’s something Alford brings to the table. Overall, the playmaking safety made 81 tackles on the season with seven TFLs and two INTs. He’s smart, understands the position, and is bound for a really strong senior season next fall. Alford will be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings next month.
