A South Georgia wideout with plenty of breakaway speed, Lockett was a go-to weapon for the Colquitt County offense last season as he caught a team-leading 40 passes for 811 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s a quick, shifty receiver who is dangerous in space, looking to score anytime he has the ball. He was one of the better 2027 receivers in the area last season, and now his recruitment is soaring. The 6-foot-0 175-pounder from Moultrie saw major offers come his way in January from Georgia and Georgia Tech. Now, he’s earned a recent offer from Florida State with more likely on the way.
A quick, speedy South Georgia wideout who can create separation and make plays down the field, Locket is a dependable pass-catcher who can make a tough catch in traffic and add big yards after the catch. He’s dangerous in the open field and was a dependable option all season long for the Colquitt County offense. Locket caught 40 passes this season for 811 yards and 10 touchdowns in 11 games. He was one of the more productive receivers in the region and hit the 60+ receiving yards mark in six games. He also hit the 100-yard mark in three games. His best football is still ahead of him and some possible D1 offers could be heading his way this winter.
Lockett emerged this fall as the leading receiver and most explosive playmaker on the outside for Colquitt County. He is a long, wiry prospect who is capable of gearing down and sinking his hips to separate at the top of his routes. He can make catches in a crowd and is a proven contributor at each level of the field. To make a run in the playoffs, your passing game will have to step up and make some plays, and I imagine Lockett will get plenty of chances to do so if Colquitt County can make another deep run.
An underrated South Georgia receiver who should really shine for Colquitt County this fall, Locket is a quick, shifty receiver who can stretch the field and find a way to sneak past defenders. He tracks the ball well and secures it with ease. For Dougherty last season, the 6-foot-0 175-pounder caught 34 passes for 506 yards and 8 touchdowns for an impressive 21 yards per catch. Good things happen when he’s got the ball in his hands, and it should happen on a consistent basis next fall for the Packers.
