As we enter the new year, the 2025 high school football season has come and gone in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, I have been taking the past couple weeks to release my 2025 All-State teams to highlight the top players from this past season in each class. After already covering 3A-6A, I will now turn my attention to 2A, starting with my 2025 2A All-State Offense!

[player_tooltip player_id='1157497' first='Dre'mail' last='Carothers'] led the entire state in passing in 2025, completing 287/427 passes for 4,022 yards, 49 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 15 games. Carothers has very impressive arm strength which he uses to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride with ease in the deep passing game. He has also shown great ball placement, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Carothers also ran the ball 33 times for 111 yards and a touchdown as a junior. Dre'mail currently holds offers from Kentucky, Oregon State, Missouri State, Eastern Kentucky, and Kentucky Wesleyan, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Power 4/Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='445546' first='Kris' last='Hughes'] has been on my radar for a while now and ended his high school career on a high note this past season. He served as his team's starting quarterback but was mainly a threat in the running game, leading the entire state in rushing with 232 carries for 2,081 yards and 37 touchdowns in 13 games. Hughes is an explosive downhill runner who is very tough to bring down once he gets going, showing the ability to lower his shoulder and drive his legs through contact to break tackles without losing stride. Once he hits the second level, he has also shown the burst of speed to simply run away from the defense on long runs. As a passer, Hughes threw for 1,092 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions as a senior. He also made an impact on defense, recording 37 tackles and two interceptions. Hughes holds multiple offers and I can see him being a true impact player wherever he decides to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1973733' first='Kain' last='Patton'] jumped onto my radar with a very impressive senior year. He led Prestonsburg in rushing, carrying the ball 151 times for 1,965 yards and 28 touchdowns in 12 games. Patton is very difficult for defenders to tackle by themselves in the open field, as he has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss along with the strength to break tackles without ease. He has also shown the ability to pose as a dangerous threat out of the slot in the passing game, leading his team in receiving with 38 catches for 752 yards and seven touchdowns. Patton also played a role on defense, finishing the year with 69 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and two sacks. His play helped him get votes as the 2025 Prep Redzone KY Offensive Player of the Year. Kain holds an offer from Pikeville and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311186' first='Jayvian' last='Meaux'] burst onto the scene in impressive fashion as a freshman, leading his team in rushing with 230 carries for 1,869 yards and 31 touchdowns in 12 games. Meaux has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency then run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the ability to make quick cuts to make defenders miss in the open field. Jayvian also caught eight passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in 2025. He is also impressive after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains. Fryman is electric in the open field after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness to turn screens and short passes into big plays at any given moment. He has also proven to be a dangerous deep threat, using his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease. Tyler also ran the ball 18 times for 283 yards and four touchdowns this season, and returned three punts for touchdowns.
