[player_tooltip player_id='1596559' first='Ryder' last='Sutton'], QB, Minot

Ryder camped at a several D1 camps last summer including Tulsa, Oklahoma, and North Dakota amongst others last summer and utilized those reps for a monster sophomore season for Minot High this fall. The 5'10 185 pounder has absurd arm strength for his size and has such natural mechanics that thrives with his throws on all three levels and took rightfully took home our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase QB MVP last month in Aberdeen showing why he has been our QB1 in the 2028 class. From a development standpoint, I loved what I saw in Ryder's sophomore season with the elusiveness he shows off with his legs as his ability to make defenders miss show off a quarterback prospect that should check several boxes for college programs at the next-level. He certainly is one of the most electric athletes this 2028 class has to offer and has the tools to play at the D1 level.

Best Team Surprise

Bottineau Braves

There were a few schools that I could have had in this surprise group, but no one caught my attention more in North Dakota than the Bottineau Braves in 11A who ended up being runner ups. They finished 11-2 on the season and overall were our #4 ranked team by our team score analyatics to end the season. Their most most eye-catching wins were mostly in the playoffs, but with wins over Ray-Powers Lake (37-6) and playoff wins over top 10 overall teams in the state Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm (36-35) and Killdeer (24-22) they get my nod. They also have their biggest chunk of names that can play at the next-level, including 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1625989' first='Emerson' last='Marum'], 2026s [player_tooltip player_id='1590785' first='Toby' last='George'], [player_tooltip player_id='1422833' first='Conner' last='Guss'], [player_tooltip player_id='1422834' first='Wyatt' last='Campbell'], [player_tooltip player_id='2067651' first='Carson' last='Coleman'] (EDGE, Minot State offered) Landon Solberg, and [player_tooltip player_id='1590779' first='Cooper' last='Beckman'] amongst others.

Favorite Under the Radar 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1838888' first='Jax' last='Johnson'], ATH, Langdon Area

Jax won MVP in the 11A state championship game and it was seen in my eyes for his efforts on both sides of the ball. The 6'2 200 pounder is one that is very durable between the tackles and showed how easily he could get the extra yards now that I can roll back the tape from his 2025 season as you see how fluid of an athlete he is with his movement he is able to generate very quickly. At this moment, Jax is an uncommitted senior still looking for a home at the next-level and surely is a big time sleeper too you need to know before National Signing Day.

Best 2026 Committed Steal

[player_tooltip player_id='929962' first='Matthew' last='Dosch'], ATH, Grand Forks Red River

The Jamestown Jimmies got the committed steal of this 2026 class which to me is athlete [player_tooltip player_id='929962' first='Matthew' last='Dosch'] of Grand Forks Red River. Matthew caught the attention of our Midwest Scouting Director Oliver West at the North Dakota Flagship Camp and myself at the Jamestown Jimmies prospect camp over the summer, as I will say it, it's tough to get muliple PRZ scouts eyes at college camps. The first-team All-Stater for the Roughriders at defensive back showed off massive range in the reps I watched and when I watched him in muliple 1v1 reps, he showed off to be overwhelming in pass coverage. He showed off that his skillsets translate to both sides of the ball with all the instincts he has at his disposal.
