Moving up to the QB5 spot is Emerson Marum Emerson Marum 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB/DB Bottineau | 2027 State ND out of Bottineau, who had an impressive junior season with the Braves as 11A runner ups. He logged over 2000 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards along with 37 touchdowns. He’s one of the more impressive quarterbacks in this group when it comes to his ball placement on deep and intemediate routes and shows to be cool, calm, and collective when under duress. It’s hard to tell that Emerson loses a step when he throws from the run as a probable move up by next 2027 rankings update in North Dakota that looks like a scholarship-talent in my eyes.

Emerson was a 2027 quarterback from Bottineau that was a good one I was looking to get the live eval on in the 11A state championship game. The 6’1 180 pounder appeared more mobile in the live eval I got especially with his vision he had around the edges of the field with his legs. He also had better poise in the pocket than I had envisioned that seemed to progress quicker with his release the more times I watched him throw. He has upside to grow with utilizing his arm angles to his advantage as there were times when Emerson would throw across his body which created high risk, high reward scenarios protecting the ball. With all that being said, I think Emerson will likely move the needle upwards in our 2027 rankings this winter.

Emerson is a new that sparked upwards this year for the Bottineau Braves at the quarterback position. This is kid is super elsuive as a runner for 6’1 170 pounds and surely has durabilty built in with his athleticism especially fitting for yards around the end zone. The arm talent as well has progressed too with Emerson, as there certainly is more percision built in with his touch throws. I hope to be even more intrigued with what the rest of his junior season tape looks like upcoming as another I hope to see at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase.

Next up is our QB8 in North Dakota which is Emerson Marum Emerson Marum 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB/DB Bottineau | 2027 State ND out of Bottineau. Emerson shows off an improviser at the quarterback position, as one that is versatile with his legs to extend nothing plays into something. He also passes the eye test with his balanced touch and precision he shows off on deep routes with his game tape. He seems to not lose much of his arm strength either when throwing from the run. Position flexibility rolls with this young man too, with reps as a defesnive back for the Braves.
