The 2025 high school football season inside the state of Tennessee has come to an end and the focus now turns to who returns for the 2026 season next year.

While there will be a lot of moving parts with risers, fallers and even transfers, we begin to take a look at which teams have the best room at each position group in the days leading up to Christmas.

Today, we begin the series with taking a look at the top five quarterback rooms inside the state of Tennessee for the 2026 season.

1.) Antioch High School

[player_tooltip player_id='378901' first='Andre' last='Adams'] is the best playmaker at the quarterback position in the entire state for next year which gives Antioch the edge in the early stages of the offseason.

He has a good frame at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds with the arm talent and explosiveness to complement.

He became more refined as a pure passer this past season and because of that he has skyrocketed to the status of being one of the best recruits in the nation at the most important position in the game.

He adds extra value with his ability as a rusher as well. He is a dynamic threat with his legs that can make defenders miss or just flat out run them over with his bigger frame.

He put the team on his back a lot last season, breaking records on a weekly basis and he will have to step up even more next season after losing some weapons.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1976445044757495828?s=46

2.) Westview High School

Westview gets the second spot due to having the most proven success with multiple years of high-level play from 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='424594' first='Graham' last='Simpson'].

Coming from a football family, he is the latest Simpson to carry the torch and should have the best high school career of the bench, already breaking all the records during this season as a sophomore.

There is still a lot to improve for him to develop as he begins to receive more serious recruiting interest this next year, but he should take a notable step from sophomore to junior season.

Graham has limited turnovers as a young quarterback which keeps him in this spot with others rising up the rankings.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1996984056853024789?s=46

3.) Riverdale High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1287058' first='Gavin' last='Hampton'] started at the high school level for the first time in his career last season in a new environment at Riverdale.

He certainly took his fair share of learning curves early in the season, but if he builds on how he played after that first month, he could push Riverdale even higher on this list.

He is a big quarterback that stands about 6-foot-4 with the arm talent to make all the throws and that includes consistency over the middle of the field in tight windows.

This is a quarterback prospect that can take another large step forward next season and will begin to see more serious recruiting interest come his way.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1979354906504167438?s=46

4.) Baylor High School

Baylor added Ole Miss 2027 quarterback commit [player_tooltip player_id='939950' first='Keegan' last='Croucher'] to the team for next year to provide stability at the position with a high-profile prospect.

Croucher has a long frame that comes in at 6-foot-4 and has a great arm that can deliver throws with excellent velocity, which should help Baylor target the middle of the field a lot more next season which aligns with the skillsets of their current receivers on the team.

It will be interesting to see how he develops with layering passes in the tight windows he will see playing against a increased level of competition next season.

If he can add that layering ability into his game consistently next season, the Baylor quarterback room could quickly rise a lot higher among this list.

https://twitter.com/jacob_cal13/status/1975883610881400871?s=46

5.) Oakland High School

Oakland has one of the most intriguing quarterback rooms in the entire state with a two-player system that adds value and complexity to the offense in different ways.

2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='866735' first='Donte' last='Cameron'] is the veteran of the group and his legs add a new dynamic element to the Oakland base option offense.

He grew immensely as a passer throughout the season and flashed to an extent with delivering some throws that created explosive plays downfield.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1997460228871217484?s=46

However, the pure passing option of the duo was [player_tooltip player_id='424644' first='Kam' last='Morton'] and he flashed exceptional passing ability as a high school freshman.

The rising sophomore displayed strong velocity, accuracy, anticipation and leadership at the quarterback position while emerging as a scrambling threat throughout the season.

The scary part for opponents is both players have a lot of room to grow and can build off their first years in prominent roles at the high school level.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/1998187987176431966?s=46
