The rising sophomore was one of the better deep passers in the tournament, throwing several amazing completions throughout the weekend.

Morton came in clutch during the first half, running in a 3-yard score to extend the Patriots’ lead over the Raptors. Morton also ran in a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter. The freshman signal caller has been electric this season at the helm of Oakland’s offense and will just continue to get better.

He has already shown strong signs of arm talent, accuracy, and anticipation and that will only become even better with time.

As he gets bigger through his high school career, the arm talent should only improve from here and he will eventually begin to see college interest come his way.

I have now seen Kam Morton Kam Morton 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Oakland | 2029 State TN in a scrimmage and game setting for Oakland High School and the first thing you notice is that the arm talent is legit with a natural and concise throwing motion.

He flashed the arm talent throwing to all three levels with good zip on the ball and at times great anticipation.

He will have to continue to get taller as he gets older, but he has shown all the right tools that will allow for him to have success throughout his high school career.

While currently undersized, he has all the arm talent to make any throw needed from the position already and flashed great anticipation at times.

He continues to show a lot of promise and as he continues to grow physically, he could be one of the top players in the state for the 2029 class.

Morton was nothing short of spectacular during his middle school career at Ensworth and will begin new at Oakland this fall. He makes some truly special plays and brings dual-threat ability, making him a very dangerous QB. Throws the ball very naturally and has a strong release. Making off-platform throws is nothing out of the norm. Has impressive pocket awareness and if a play breaks down, he uses mobility and easily extends the play.
