is an athletic defensive lineman that can get upfield quickly and has a strong frame that he will grow into, especially as he grows.
Oakland is creative in finding different ways to get the talented freshman on the field, using him as a pulling offensive lineman/tight end and on special teams protection units.
He is a prospect that the coaching staff at Oakland has been excited about for some time now and he has the potential to prove them right in his high school career.

and have seen intriguing baseline tools with him already.
He is a tad short right now, but that should change with time. He is an athletic defensive lineman who is effective at working to get upfield.
Oakland High School recognizes his potential and finds ways to use him, including as a blocker on the move on offense.

One of the most productive and impactful middle school prospects I’ve seen over the last two/three years.

is yet another member off a deeply-talented Oakland Middle School team that will continue on to high school with numerous championships under his belt. This past June, Gibbs was named co-Defensive MVP of the Tennessee Future Stars in a performance that showcased just how dangers he can be. Tough, athletic and mean. Gibbs is/can/will be an excellent player on both sides of the ball and may see varsity time earlier as a Guard.

. Gibbs was a standout a year ago as a seventh-grader on the Offensive Line and came back this year on the opposite side of the ball, as an Edge. Gibbs spearheaded a very disruptive Defensive Line, as the Oakland High School prospect unofficially finished the day tied for the team lead in tackles (8), had three TFLs and recorded a sack. He was one of the big reason that the Tennessee defense didn’t allow a touchdown until the fourth quarter.

. I absolutely fell in love with Gibbs last year in this game, as he combined ability with attitude and effort all game long. He was the best O-Linemen on the field for Tennessee last year and wasn’t afraid to mix it up with any of the big boys in the trenches from Kentucky. He exuded toughness. This year, following Oakland Middle School adding another championship for their longstanding dominance in Rutherford County, Gibbs was named an All-County player. Also a stellar basketball player, his quickness and feet have improved and he looks to be even better on the D-Line than he was on the O-Line. On top of what he does on the field, he’s a high character kid and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him named a Team Captain come game time.

, an offensive lineman/defensive lineman at Oakland Middle School. Gibbs is a considerable threat on both sides of the line of scrimmage as his size, speed and physicality off the snap have helped him to stand out on the field. I also like how Gibbs can utilize his wingspan to wrap up his opponent.

In my opinion, Gibbs was the best Offensive Lineman on the 2024 7th Grade Tennessee Future Stars team. The starter at Left Guard, he was a force from the opening whistle to the last drive for the guys in grey. Kentucky is always big across the front and Gibbs matched them pound-for-pound in terms of size, strength and aggression. He did more than his fair share of pushing and shoving in the heat of the action, even drawing a personal foul on Kentucky after some extracurriculars in the first quarter. He’s the type of kid you can build an Offensive Line around.
