A South Georgia back who thrived all season long our of the backfield, in the passing game, and on special teams, Reynolds is coming off a dynamic sophomore season where he showed impressive burst, dependable hands, and big-play ability. The Coffee Trojans running back opened a lot of eyes as a sophomore this fall as he ran for just over 1,000 yards with three touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark four times. He got better and better all season long, rushing for 100 yards in each of his final three games of the season including a giant 229 yards game against Veterans. He also added 255 receiving yards with two scores and just under 150 kick return yards.

A slippery running back who can hide behind blockers and take off down the field, Grayson may not be the biggest or heaviest back in Southeast Georgia, but he runs bigger than his size and has a knack for slipping through defenders. He does a good job of running with balance and showed breakaway speed when he gets through the line of scrimmage. Grayson ran for 839 yards and 8 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 7.6 yards per carry. He led the team in rushing and did it as a sophomore. If he can put on some more weight and perfect his craft this off-season, Grayson could be in store for a breakout junior season next year.

A speedy back with size at 6-foot-0 200-pounds, Lumpkin showed he's one of the best running backs Northwest of Atlanta, Lumpkin has the ability to break tackles while bringing above-average speed to the table. He does a good job of following his blocks, running with balance, and was tough to bring down by just one defender. He was one of the best backs in the region and certainly didn't run like your average sophomore. Lumpkin ran for just over 1,000 yards with 13 touchdowns. He averaged an impressive eight yards per carry and hit the 100-yard mark five times, averaging just under 100 yards along the way. He's a 2028 back to know who should have an even bigger junior season in 2026.

He may not have lit up the stat sheet, but Brown certainly showed this fall that he deserved to be ranked in the newest 2028 Prep Redzone rankings. Sharing the load for a very strong North Gwinnett team, Brown brought plenty of speed and acceleration to the Bulldog rushing attack. He ran hard, he's shifty, and made the most of his opportunities throughout the season. He only ran the ball 67 times but took them 485 yards and five touchdowns. His natural talent and potential is easy to see and he's likely bound for a massive and possible breakout junior season next fall. His best football is still ahead of him and his ranking could be too in 2026.

An Athens-area runner who also played some quarterback this fall, Shumate was as consistent as any running back in the region last fall and did it as a sophomore. He shows quickness, ran with balance, and ran hard for is size. A multi-sport standout who also shines on the baseball diamond, Shumate was extremely consistent all season long as he rushed for 1,260 yards and 10 touchdowns. He ran for 200+ yards three times during the 2025 season and showed he can put the offense on his back. He ran for an impressive 8.2 yards per carry and was one of the best overall playmakers in the area. Look for Shumate to continue thriving and have another monster season next fall as a junior.
