Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A South Georgia back who thrived all season long our of the backfield, in the passing game, and on special teams, Reynolds is coming off a dynamic sophomore season where he showed impressive burst, dependable hands, and big-play ability. The Coffee Trojans running back opened a lot of eyes as a sophomore this fall as he ran for just over 1,000 yards with three touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark four times. He got better and better all season long, rushing for 100 yards in each of his final three games of the season including a giant 229 yards game against Veterans. He also added 255 receiving yards with two scores and just under 150 kick return yards.

A versatile small-town back with terrific speed and a slippery running style, Reynolds is a shifty back with impressive burst and change of direction. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and has been one of the region’s top rushers this fall as a sophomore. He’s been a consistent ball-carrier for the Trojans, rushing 114 times for 718 yards and two touchdowns. He’s averaging 80 yards a game and has hit the 100-yard mark twice. His biggest game came against Veterans where he ran for 229 yards and one touchdown. He’s one of the fastest-rising sophomore backs in South Georgia who could see offers come his way this winter.

The Coffee Trojan rising Sophomore is one to keep on your radar over the next few seasons. In a very talented and crowded RB room, Reynolds was the only Freshman to get some totes last Fall. The Trojans graduated 316 carries in Senior Tyrese Woodgett and will be needing some guys to shoulder that load this Fall. Reynolds has added 20 pounds since this profile update and is a solid 5’8 175 heading into his Sophomore season.
What Stands Out: Size and strength. Reynolds recently posted him maxing at 275 hang clean, impressive for a guy still in his freshman season. A natural RB with a great nose in traffic. Plays at 100% even without the ball.
Outlook: A lot of talent at Coffee to spread the ball around. Reynolds needs to make the most of his opportunities this Fall. Will be one to follow over the next 3 seasons.
