After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

In terms of competing, feeling comfortable, and looking - and thus playing - with confidence, [player_tooltip player_id='1367178' first='Darren' last='Garrett'] had an aura that screamed these traits. Garrett was probably the most efficient mover within the back-seven. He wasted little-to-no movement in-and-out of his breaks. His efficiency allowed the 2028 graduate to move extremely well. Partially due to this, and partially due to his speed, Garrett showed great closing speed on the ball, defenders, and on space.

Although many had very good feet, [player_tooltip player_id='1105233' first='Reid' last='Hunt']'s feet might have been the best. At no point did I see Hunt's matchup gain the edge or turn his shoulders. Additionally, Hunt excelled at refitting his hands to maintain inside leverage , and thus control, of his matchup. One thing he can improve upon though is working to get and keep his arms locked out when finishing.

Summer time at the Jersey Shore means one thing: it is going to be hot. [player_tooltip player_id='1939703' first='Brady' last='Williams'], the Bulldogs quarterback, delivered a hot one that sizzled when he cocked back and released. Absolutely able to spin it, Williams' throws had tight spirals, fit into tight windows, threaded the needle. I subtle thing that I noticed (and liked) about Williams was that he held the ball high as he surveyed the field - a sign of ball security for quarterbacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546508' first='Zayne' last='Carswell'] got his money's worth this weekend. Wishing to ball 'til he falls, Carswell took both offensive and defensive reps. The majority of my praise, however, comes from the defensive side of the ball - hence him being identified as the ATH most valuable player. Carswell's angles can improve, but beyond that what I saw was impressive. When playing press, Carswell absolutely jammed the hell out of somebody, so badly to the point that he completely dudded the rep. Another play he showed outstanding aggression and assertiveness, demanding his right to the ball. Lastly, Carswell showed that he can cover like glue and knows how to maintain leverage throughout his opponent's route.
