After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

There is something about a receiving prospect who trusts himself and his ability, wants the ball, and knows the ball's most secure place is in his hands. This mentality is one shared by both [player_tooltip player_id='1529281' first='Sean' last='Tuohy'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1575744' first='Jesiah' last='Godfrey-Pelham']. Both Tuohy and Godfrey-Pelham did something subtle-yet-important as they took their reps: extended for the ball. Throughout the event the pair of prospects used not just their hands, but their arms to extend and capture the ball. Rather than waiting for it to arrive to them, they went out and got it... We talked about arms, but hands were the primary asset for [player_tooltip player_id='1332995' first='Dillon' last='Diaz']. One of the taller targets there, Diaz showed an uncanny ability to use his hands. They were soft and exclusively used throughout his reps. Moreover, Diaz was particularly apt at playing the ball when it was put on the top shelf, thrown high, where he can utilize his height to exploit a mismatch.

One of the better route runners at the event was [player_tooltip player_id='1648989' first='Anthony' last='Costello']. A 2028 graduate, Costello was very refined in his ability to create space and separation. This mostly came from him consistently snapping his hips atop the stem of his route. He should, however, be prepared for a ball coming in hot, as a few times various quarterbacks might have thrown a ball with not mustard, but spicy brown mustard, that was a bit hot to handle... In a similar sense, I got a look-see at [player_tooltip player_id='1201076' first='Amari' last='Alsbrook']. On the heels of a very strong sophomore campaign and similar to Costello, Alsbrook was excellent in his route fakes. I saw snapped hips, shoulder and head fakes, as well as him separation created as he broke his routes. It was a strong showing for the rising junior.
