After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

If there was one defensive back who, surely, might be one-way defender it was [player_tooltip player_id='1515034' first='Chase' last='Horner']. Horner, a rising senior, did a great job of using his body leverage to take away certain routes - acting as a wall in the process to protect the middle of the field. He can, however, improve his hands and timing when high pointing the ball... For Ashton Emerick, there were few other defensive backs that looked the part like this 2027 graduate. Emerick's game will reach another height as his ability to trigger and flip his hips improve. Doing so will allow those tipped passes to turn into interceptions.

Speaking of hips, [player_tooltip player_id='2064058' first='Blake' last='Tyburczy']'s hips might have been the best set in attendance. In terms of snapping them to flip, turn, run, and cover, few prospects in attendance were better. Also taking reps as a receiver, Tyburczy showed a good get off and release out the gate... For [player_tooltip player_id='1647566' first='Cassius' last='Welcome'], a young 2030 graduate, he will best be served to break the habit of not finishing his drills. I noted him decelerating and not simulating a finish. Being mindful of this will make his coaches happy and he will develop strong tendencies as he ages and matures.

Rising sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1584749' first='Jaheim' last='Alexander'] probably had the best frame of all the defensive backs. At 6'0" and 160lbs, he has room to grow and develop. As he continues to train, Alexander's body control will improve too. More precise movements will enable him to be more measured in what he does. Lastly, Alexander uses his body to catch the ball.
