That's right- the class of 2027 is now our senior class. With the dust settled on the 2025 season, we head into this important offseason with updated rankings. Still, these rankings are not set in stone, and these rankings will very likely continue to change in the coming months. This time around, we've shuffled the QB rankings significantly.

Duke earns a nice rankings boost and the #1 QB ranking. Prior to the 2025 season, Duke was still a largely unproven QB with a lot of question marks surrounding his game. After an undefeated State Championship season, most of those questions have been answered.

Duke is not the most high-volume passer, but he's been incredibly efficient with his opportunities. Consistently great decision-making, including an 81% passing, 3-TD, 0-INT mark against Cass Tech in the state championship. Duke consistently gets the ball out quickly and accurately, very rarely committing turnovers even against the most talented defenses. Additionally, Duke is far better in areas like pocket presence. Against Brother Rice, I watched him get pressured way more than usual, and Duke did a great job feeling that pressure, evading the pocket, and keeping his eyes downfield.

Duke has stepped up to the plate and delivered in his Junior season. He's steady as they come, confident, coachable, and has the right intangibles. Looking like a G5 floor QB, which is a massive compliment.

Wynn is one of the highest risers in these rankings, going from #79 overall to #30.

Wynn is the only QB on this list who doesn't attend a well-known powerhouse. He led Dow to a phenomenal 10-2 record, only losing to St. Mary's (D2 State Champions) and Mt. Pleasant (D3 runner-up).

I had the opportunity to watch Wynn in the game against Mt. Pleasant. Wynn played with phenomenal efficiency, making quick, decisive reads all game. He's one of the best QBs in the state in the IQ department, and probably the best QB when it comes to overall passing volume.

Even against St. Mary's, I thought Wynn performed incredibly well. Yes, the increased level of competition did force Wynn to play faster, and he did look less comfortable than usual. Still, he was able to get outside the pocket and still make quick, accurate throws to the most open receiver. He had a few turnovers in that game, but I only thought he had 1 turnover-worthy throw.

Wynn has proven himself to me this season. He's got the height, got the arm, and got the efficiency. I've done more homework on Wynn than just about anyone in the class, and I'm very confident in ranking him as a top 3 QB.

This is why I wait until after the state championships to release rankings. Jabin was an important evaluation during championship weekend. Prior to last weekend, I had only seen Jabin against DCC, a team that made even blue-chip QBs extremely uncomfortable.

Against Dexter, Jabin increased his stock. For one, Jabin is by far the best dual-threat QB in this class. At times, he's able to flash in the open field and deal a ton of damage with his legs.

Facing a solid Dexter defense, he went 17-22, 304 yards, and 4TDs. Amazing numbers in the state championship. Jabin played with a ton of confidence and had a little more passing variety than I'm used to (less quick game / RPO- let him let it loose a little).

Arguably the highest-ceiling QB in this class, and I wouldn't bat an eye if you wanted to rank Jabin #1. I absolutely think there's enough upside for Jabin to be a Division 1 college QB, but I still would like to see a tad better consistency.

Alex is another QB coming off an amazing season. He led the Wolves to a stellar 10-2 record, eventually losing to State Champion DCC in the regional finals.

This is a prospect with a plus arm, good athletic ability, with good efficiency against a very difficult schedule. He picked teams apart, commonly rolling outside of the pocket before finding an open man deep downfield. This season, Alex upgraded his accuracy, IQ, and confidence. A really, really good high school QB with legit upside at the next level.

Sam is another QB whom I spent a lot of time looking at this season. The upside is there, as evident by his D1 offers. Watch him during warm-ups or a camp, and you'll see a tall QB with a big arm.

Frankly, I was not confident in Sam early in the season. It was apparent to me that he was not playing up to standard when it came to Catholic League play. Though as the season went on, he kept on improving. I saw a big spike in efficiency in games against De La Salle and St. Mary's. Against DLS, Sam played amazingly in the second half, nailing a few big throws to seal the game for Brother Rice. In the regular season matchup against St. Mary's, Sam played great all game, hitting his reads quickly and accurately. I'm frankly expecting another significant jump in efficiency coming next season, and I beleive in Sam's commitment to his development.
