The 2027 rankings have grown to 150 total prospects in the state of West Virginia, with many new faces entering the mix. Here are the new 2027 Top 75 rankings after their junior seasons have been completed.

A high-potential DL/TE prospect in the 2027 class for college programs to know is Bridgeport's [player_tooltip player_id='1616323' first='Tristin' last='Noble']. He made a bigger impact at tight end this season for the Indians, but we project him as a defensive line prospect with the 6'3 250 frame that he has as a junior. Noble has physical and athletic upside that should appeal to colleges on both sides of the ball.

Another 2027 Bridgeport prospect to know in this class is LB/FB [player_tooltip player_id='2056764' first='Eli' last='Knight']. He's committed to WVU to continue his wrestling career, but could easily play football at the next level as well. Knight is the standard for the Bridgeport program as a tough, physical, and unselfish player who will do all of the dirty work on both sides of the ball, even if it doesn't show up in the stat sheet.

2027 Chapmanville OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1184532' first='Jaxon' last='Topping'] had a standout junior season for the Tigers on both sides of the ball and now rounds out our Top 10 offensive line rankings. He has high upside at both positions and could project to the next level at either spot. Topping plays with an edge and tenacious effort to pair with his high physicality and finishing mentality.

2027 Philip Barbour RB [player_tooltip player_id='2047488' first='Landyn' last='Carpenter'] came out for football for the first time in his junior year and didn't look back. He's a natural at the position, proving as much by rushing for 1,700 yards and 18 touchdowns. Carpenter has a bright future at the position with his downhill physical running style and early production at a new sport and position as a prospect.

2027 Huntington LB [player_tooltip player_id='1334981' first='CJ' last='Quinn'] stepped up for the Highlanders this season on defense and emerged as a top linebacker prospect in this class. He totaled 80 tackles and 8 TFLs in his junior season, while showing next-level potential as a downhill Middle/Outside linebacker. Quinn is a quick athlete with pass-rushing ability that he can continue to refine, and was versatile in his alignment this season, while proving he can also be tough between the tackles in run support.

2027 Winfield QB [player_tooltip player_id='1154688' first='Jared' last='Miller'] was previously ranked in the past, but needed updated film after his freshman season. We got a big sample size of what he's capable of and why we were high on him as a young player this season for the Generals, as he stepped in as the varsity starter for the first time. Miller threw for 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns as a dual-threat quarterback who also rushed for nearly 600 yards and 10 more scores in a run-focused offense.

There wasn't a lot of film to evaluate from 2027 Cabell Midland ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1331242' first='Bryson' last='Smith'], but the small sample size showed obvious upside and potential in his game. Smith was an All-MSAC performer in his junior season as a utility player, and you can see his versatility on film. Smith can make an impact as a pass catcher on offense and has the frame and athletic upside to move around defensively, depending on how his 6'2 frame develops in the future.

Riverside's [player_tooltip player_id='1877757' first='Zion' last='Christian'] emerged as our #2 EDGE prospect in the 2027 class after putting a lot of good things on film in his junior year. He was a new name on our radar this year and quickly caught our attention as a pass rusher off the edge who had a very productive season with 53 tackles, 23 TFLs, and 6.5 sacks. Christian lacks some length as an EDGE player, but his quickness and bend will translate to the next level as a prospect who's capable of climbing the rankings in the future.

2027 Fairmont Senior OL [player_tooltip player_id='2074696' first='Tyson' last='White'] made the move from Bridgeport for his junior season and emerged at tackle for the Polar Bears this season. He's made significant strides as a player since he first appeared on our radar at a camp during his sophomore year, and he looks like a completely different player a year later. White has athletic upside that you can see in his footwork and kick steps in pass protection to pair with his 6'4 frame that will allow him to continue developing into a top OL prospect in the class.

We've been eager to get film of 2027 Woodrow Wilson ATH [player_tooltip player_id='897527' first='Javontae' last='Wynes'], and finally got the opportunity to evaluate him in his junior season. He stepped up at running back in their Wing-T system this season and also did a nice job at linebacker for the Flying Eagles. Ranked as an ATH, his future position at the next level will depend on how his body transforms, but Wynes has athletic upside at numerous spots.

2027 Frankfort DL [player_tooltip player_id='1616382' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] had a big junior season for the Frankfort Falcons, helping lead them to back-to-back state titles. The 6'3 260 big man totaled 83 stops along with 18 TFLs and 7 sacks as one of the best defensive linemen in Class AA. Smith is capable of moving up in the rankings after his senior season if he takes another step forward in 2026 after breaking out as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1616167' first='James' last='Payne'] is the big name to know along the George Washington offensive line in the 2027 class, but don't overlook classmate OL [player_tooltip player_id='2090845' first='Bradyn' last='Coulter'] on the Patriots' front. He showed significant upside in his junior season behind his moldable 6'3 240 frame and did a nice job opposite Payne at right tackle. Coulter is a good athlete with quick feet and has the tenacity and physicality to consistently move his man off the line of scrimmage while being technically sound in the running game.
