Sand Springs quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] is the top available prospect in the state's 2026 class. Webb committed to Oklahoma State when he was a freshman but he committed as a baseball prospect. Up until this year, Webb had remained committed to the Cowboys. But it became clear that Webb was arguably the top quarterback prospect in the state's 2026 class. And with that, came more opportunities to play college football. Last season, Webb made a massive jump from sophomore to junior year. This season, he's continued to be one of the absolute best at his position. At the time of this being published, Webb has Sand Springs knocking on the door of playing for a state title.

Bixby linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='402387' first='Trey' last='McGlothlin'] was one of several in-state prospects in the 2026 class to reopen his commitment after OSU head coach Mike Gundy was fired. McGlothlin committed to Oklahoma State back in March but he remains one of the top available prospects and in our opinion, he is the top available defensive prospect in the class. Since reopening his recruitment back in late September, more power four programs have extended offers. McGlothlin got his start making bone crunching tackles on special teams. This season, he's a key part of the Spartan defense and he has a relentless motor that puts him in positions to make play after play. He should be a high priority for teams looking for a linebacker.

Cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='402381' first='Oliver' last='Smith'] is the first of two Union Redhawks on this breakdown. He comes in at #23 overall in the latest update and in our opinion, he's the top traditional cornerback in the state's 2026 class. Smith is still available and the thing that has always stood out to us with his game is the performances against the top competition. With Smith taking care of one side of the field, it has really helped Union's defense over the last few seasons. It hasn't mattered who the opponent was or which wide receiver he was going against, Smith has always risen to the occasion. We're looking forward to seeing what he's able to do at the next level because there is no doubt that he should be at the next level.

In every senior class, there are a handful of prospects that should simply be getting more attention and more importantly, more opportunities to play at the next level. Vian standout [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] is at the top of the list for this senior class. Wright has been an absolute star for the Wolverines for several years but in the last two seasons in particular, he's simply been one of the top players in the state. He was a finalist for our Player Of The Year award last year and has the Wolverines one win away from making another trip back to Edmond to compete for the state title. For us personally, we like what Wright does on the offensive side of the ball but the truth is, he can play several different positions.

The second Union Redhawk on this breakdown is [player_tooltip player_id='858871' first='Daijon' last='Gaines'] and coincidentally, like Smith, Gaines is a secondary prospect. Gaines lines up primarily as a safety but he can be moved around and has shown versatility to his game. The biggest key for him this season has been health. Last year, he had nagging injuries that kept him sidelined. This season, he's been able to be an impactful player on this Union defense. Back in the spring, Gaines committed to Tulsa. But here in the last month, he has reopened his recruitment and he could end up with a Big 12 program. He had a handful of offers from those teams before committing to Tulsa. It wouldn't be surprising to see a commitment coming soon.
