Meet the New Guys: Class of 2029 Nos. 16-20

We just dropped our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/north-carolina/rankings/2029-north-carolina-high-school-football-rankings/">initial 2029 rankings</a>, and since this is a new class, only a few of these players have scouting reports. I'm slowly changing that.   I've already gone behind the scenes of the creation of this class, with stats, big-picture takeaways, and some class superlatives. This series is different. We're going straight through, from No. 45 to No. 1, to break down every ranked player in the class of 2029. Let's meet the new guys. We're into the top 20, now. Let's meet some freshmen stars. He's electric with the ball in his hands, and he can make defenders miss with ease. He's also a cover corner, and we could see him growing into that role as well. Wherever he lines up, know that he can make an impact on the game.     Iglesias has a better speed-power combination than the vast majority of young interior defenders we scout, and his film cut-up has plenty of examples. He has sacks off pure bull rushes, sacks off of pass-rushing moves, and hustle sacks where he chases quarterbacks out of the pocket, then tracks them down. He's growing as a run defender, but the pass-rushing upside is tantalizing.     Monroe has turned heads this season as one of the state's best young returnmen, but he has excellent upside as a true X receiver. He already has excellent size and length, and he's shown the ability to make people miss after the catch as a freshman. He's running a limited route tree this season, but he has easy ball skills, and his athleticism has made him a budding star on both sides of the ball. Expect more from him as he gets older.     If Allen played for a smaller school, he'd probably be among the state leaders for young interior linemen. As it stands, he's being patient on a deep Rolesville defensive line. He's flashed as a pass-rusher, and we were impressed when we saw him at our Prep Redzone Combine in the offseason.     95% of freshman receivers are either deep threats or gadget guys, but while Caesar can operate on screens and deep balls, he's most comfortable over the middle of the field. He consistently wins at the top of routes, and his ball skills and body control are mature, more expected from an upperclassman than a freshman. Honestly, I just wish he were able to get the ball more often.
